"Oh come on, Mom! Please! Please! Please!~" Heidi begged as Kala sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. They were in Kala's bakery and Heidi was helping out with the catering for the 4th of July celebration in town. All the neighborhoods were getting together to celebrate and perform a huge fireworks show. Heidi was trying to convince her mom to let Heidi bring Cliffjumper and Arcee to the party.

"No, Heidi. The neighborhood would get suspicious if multiple cars came out of nowhere. Besides, they can't even enjoy the festivities with you. And on top of that, you're still grounded for the stunt on Agent Fowler last week." Kala said. Heidi moaned, saddened as the oven timer went off. Kala went to get it and Heidi followed.

"Please, Mom? I promise I'll do extra work at the bakery and stop the pranks for a week! Just let him come at least! Please!~ I'm begging you!" Heidi said, making a pouty face at her mom. Kala paused, glancing down at her as she pondered her thoughts. After a moment, she let out a defeated sigh.

"Fine, they can come but only them! You'll do no pranks for a week and no going into your job today. I need your help for the celebration. Also, Don't tell Agent Fowler." Kala said, bringing the tray of cookies to the table.

Heidi squealed hugging her mom tight as she said a million thank yous. Suddenly, Heidi's phone rang as an engine outside caught her attention. Cliffjumper parked in front of the bakery, beeping twice for her. Heidi glanced at him before back at Kala. After Kala nodded, Heidi ran out to see him.

"Hey, little lady! Ready?" Cliffjumper greeted, opening the car door. Heidi wanted to jump in but knew she needed to stay and help. With that, she shook her head, leaving Cliffjumper confused as to why.

"Sorry, Cliff. There's a big celebration happening tonight and My mom needs help getting the food ready and delivered."

"Oh. Well, I love a party! What's the occasion?" Cliffjumper asked. Heidi looked at him before chuckling knowingly. She placed her hands on her hips as she spoke.

"I told you and the others last week during my history lesson. It's the Fourth of July! Independence Day? Ring a bell?" Heidi said.

"Uh... Maybe?" Cliffjumper said, awkwardly. Heidi rolled her eyes with a sigh, a small smile coming on.

"To put it simply, It's basically my country's birthday. Today was the day the USA declared itself an independent country for everyone to see and know. So every year, Citizens celebrate it by having cookouts and fireworks shows! Jasper's having a huge one tonight and My mom's one of the caterers preparing the food." Heidi said as she took out a poster for the party. She showed it to Cliffjumper who got excited.

"Whoa! Looks fun! Although I don't know what a "Cookout" or "Fireworks" is. Can I come?" Cliffjumper asked. Heidi smiled, nodding her head happily.

"Yeah, my mom said you could but you just have to be careful. Bring Arcee!" Heidi explained.

"Nice! I will. See you soon, Little Lady!" Cliffjumper said, excited. Heidi nodded as Cliffjumper closed his car door and sped away. With that, Heidi left back into the bakery to help her mom. Now, she just had to wait for tonight. Now more excited than ever.

On one of the streets of Jasper, the town's citizens were celebrating and partying with each other. A few food trucks and tables were set out and on the end of the street that led out to the desert, multiple chairs and blankets sat for the fireworks. At one of the tables, Heidi was helping her mom sell the pastries to customers.

"Next!- Oh, Ms. Esquivel! Raf!" Kala said. Heidi smiled to see Raf and his mom walk up. Heidi waved, gaining Raf's attention who quickly smiled. She led Raf over to some of the pastries as their moms chatted away.
