The night sky twinkled out the window of a large foster home room. There were multiple lamps and windows around the room, making it their only light source. It was empty except for a few people. Surrounding one of the many beds, There were two adults and one 4-year-old girl.

Her short blonde hair and her pale skin gleamed with her rosy red cheeks and nose. A wet towel sat on her forehead as she breathed heavily in her sleep. One of the adults, a female doctor was with her and The other was an elderly lady with grey hair. She watched impatiently behind the doctor.

After a moment, the doctor began packing her things into a black medical bag. She then stood up and gestured for the lady and her to talk outside. They left the room and the young girl slowly got up. She took the wet towel off and placed it on the night table. She moved sluggishly to the door and leaned against it. Pushing the door open a smidge, she could see the shadows of the lady and the doctor.

"Doctor, what have you found?" The elderly lady asked.

"Ms. Amy. Heidi will heal in time. It's nothing serious. However, I do recommend she see a therapist of some sort. Her PTSD is affecting her..." The doctor continued. After that, Heidi stopped listening as anxiety filled her. Flashes of her trauma returned as she quickly turned off her hearing aids.

It went silent for her, her ears feeling...gone. She just made her way back to her bed and found a journal/sketchbook under the bed. She took it out along with a pencil and snuggled back into bed. Heidi opened it to see some of the childish drawings she had. She glanced out the window at the beautiful night sky. A shooting star shot by and she lit up a little at seeing it. Her hand hands clasped together as she closed her eyes. She thought of her wish and prayed for it to come true. In her mind, she wished it upon the star.

"I wish for adventure and...for him to come back for me."
