"Bailey, breakfast is ready, darling!"

Bailey let out a small whimper at the idea of leaving his bed. When he did eventually make the decision to stand, he quickly regretted it. He approached his mirror and examined his image. He laughed a little at himself since his brown hair was sticking in all different directions.

He threw on a sweatshirt over the top of a stripped t-shirt and a pair of jeans. After putting on his sneakers and grabbing his bag, he headed out his room door.

His parents were remodelling the house to create more space, so he saw some of their employees and construction workers as he walked down the stairs.

Upon entering the kitchen, he observed his mother seated and having already started to eat.

"Good morning, Mom." He remarked, planting a peck on Florence's cheek. She patted the seat besides her and gave him a smile. "How are you feeling this morning?"

"Okay, your little sister likes to ruin certain mornings." Putting a hand on her stomach's, she spoke. Bailey was overjoyed to be expecting a little sister, but he harboured a small concern that she might be harmed if the monsters returned.

"Mum, it's all right. Please, just take it easy. As a dish was set in front of him, he spoke. Before he began to eat, he gave them a quick glance and expressed his gratitude.

"Dear, are you ready for school already?" His mother asked, taking a sip of her drink. grinning as her helper entered and gave her some documents.

Yes, Mr. Simmons ought to arrive shortly. He said, but before he could finish his sentence, he heard a car honk. "All right, if Chrissy doesn't want to hang out, I should go home right away after school."

"All right, sweetie, have a great day at school." He kissed the top of her head, and she whispered as she walked out of the kitchen. She observed him go, and grinned.

"He was so incredibly shy last year, but he's improving." Just as they were walking past Florence, one of the employees said.

"All I want is for him to remain this happy." She let out a hopeful sigh.
