"I deem you worthy of my power. My quirk is yours to inherit."

"HEH!?" This time it came out louder than when it was previously said. Y/n stared at the man like he was going crazy. "What the fuck do you mean inherit? You can't inherit a quirk if it's not already in your bloodline I thought."

Small Might laughed in the girl's face. At least this time his laugh was a lot tamer and didn't hurt the girl's ears. "You should see your face right now." He grinned and walked closer to the teen. "However, there are a couple of things you should know about my abilities. Journalists always guess my quirk is super strength or some kind of invulnerability. When people ask in interviews I always make a joke and dodge the question. That's because the world needs to believe their symbol of peace is just a natural born hero like any of them." He frowned. "But I'm not, there's nothing natural about my ability." All Might tilted his head back as he brought his bony arms up and spread them out. "I wasn't born with this power, it's a sacred torch that was passed onto me by someone else."

Y/n squinted her eyes. "Someone gave you this quirk?" She didn't think that could ever be possible.

"Yes, and you're next." The wind made the hero's loose shirt sway like a sheet on a clothesline as it moved just enough for the teen to get a glimpse of the scarring that looked uncannily similar to a flower. "I can give you my abilities." He finally dropped his arms. "This is just one asset of my secret abilities."

The blond held his left hand out, palm facing upwards right in font of his face. Y/n leaned back when a mysterious white glow came from it, highlighting both of their faces.

"The true name of my power," he began, "is One. For. All."

Y/n quietly repeated the name he told her.

"Yes. One person who uses the power, then hands it off to another person. It continues to grow as it's passed along. It is this cultivated power that allows me to save those in need of a hero." The shining glow died out as All Might closed his hand. "The truth behind my strength."

Y/n tilted her head to the side. "But why would you choose me of all people to give your quirk to? I'm not the best at living up to things."

"Because I was on a long hunt for a worthy successor." That reminded Y/n of the rooftop scene, she felt a bit embarrassed now having the wrong idea. "I did find someone. Someone I was training."

Y/n was confused. "So why are you here now? What happened to this person?"

"He refused my offer."

That was unexpected. "So I'm second choice cause your first plan fell through?" She deadpanned.
