Y/n was on the train 2 days after the sports festival looking online for an automatic pet feeder for Meeko. If that doesn't work then she could probably talk to Aizawa about letting her bring him to school. It should be allowed since the principal is a talking bear rat chimera.

"Hey you, excuse me."

Y/n ignored the whisper, thinking it wasn't for her.

"You're Yamiko from class 1-A."

Eyes turned to Y/n immediately.

"Great job in the sports festival. I was rooting for you."

Y/n gave the people an awkward smile as they all praised her. It was so weird to be praised by people just because of one day. These people believed in her ability to be a hero. They believed in her more than she did in herself.

One of the adults on the train handed her a carton of chocolate milk and told her to have a good day as she got off the train. Y/n slipped the cold drink as she walked to school with her f/c umbrella.

"Good morning Y/n!"

Y/n furrowed her brows and faced Iida, who was wearing a yellow poncho while running to her.

"Why on earth are you walking so slowly? We're gonna be late!"

Y/n groaned but jogged after him. "There's five minutes until the first bell."

"U.A students should always arrive ten minutes early!" He zoomed off as Y/n slowed to a stop before quickly following.

Inside the warm building, Y/n shook the rainwater off her umbrella as she observed Iida put his rain boots in his locker. "Iida?"

"If it's about my brother don't be concerned." He faced her and flashed her a smile. "I'm sorry I made you worry, everything will be fine."

The girl stayed silent as she watched him walk off. Something about that last sentence and the way he said it bothered her. Nothing's fine after your hero family member has an accident. She would know.
