The next day Y/n spent her time off of school to read a bit more. She picked up some secondhand books at a thrift store that caught her eyes and sat on the count going over them with Meeko by her side. The teen figured while she was debating keeping up with the hero school she could at least know a bit more.
There was a 1,000+ page book about the quirk wars, they were much worse than the wars before when there were no quirks. She found out the 2nd quirk wasn't too long ago, and those who survived seemed to lead normal lives.
Another book was talking about the history of quirks and how they came to be, though it mostly seemed to be theories, since there's no concrete evidence as to why they started popping up. Technically Y/n would be part of the 5th generation of quirks users, which means these powers haven't been around long. It's pretty stupid to base hierarchy on only great-great grandparents having quirks. In the future the percentage of people gaining at least 1 quirk can go up.
The other books were (favorite genre) books that Y/n could read later. For now it was time for food.
The next day, an invisible girl, Hagakure, looked to her classmates. "You guys, did you see the news last night?"
"Yeah."
"It was so cool that we got a few seconds of screen time. Though I doubt anyone noticed me hanging out in the background."
"We're totally big deals." Kaminari leaned back. "Those news channels love us, we're basically celebrities."
"Yeah it's kinda crazy right?"
"Get over yourselves." Jiro rolled her eyes. "The hero course that pumps out pros was attacked and that's what they care about."
Sero laid his head on his arms. "Who knows what would have happened to us if the teachers hadn't shown up."
"Why would you say that!?" Mineta wailed. "I'm gonna pee myself just thinking about it!!" He was knocked off his chair by Y/n throwing a notebook at him.
