❝𝘏𝘦𝘩!?❞
In which a quirkless teen doesn't mind the fact she can't be a hero, until the Number 1 Hero comes along and makes her life a mess.
The next day was when classes actually began. Thankfully, Y/n was fluent in English so the first class of the day wasn't a problem, though she could do without the teacher, who she learned was named Present Mic, yelling every sentence he spoke. Y/n thought about gassing him up so she could snatch those 2 lost dollars for a drink from a vending machine in the hall. It had her favorite drink in there.
Lunch was good too. Y/n calls Meeko a fatass but she understood where he was coming from. Food always tastes better when its actually cooked by someone, especially when it's not expensive.
In the afternoon it was time for hero basic training.
"I AM HERE! COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!"
Y/n had her head on her fist as All Might slammed into the classroom. Most of the classroom gasped in surprise.
"I can't believe it's really All Might!" A blond boy with a black streak through his hair beamed.
"So he is a teacher, this year is gonna be totally awesome!"
"Hey look, is he wearing his Silver Age costume?"
Y/n watched as All Might weirdly marched to the center of the podium.
"I'm getting goosebumps, it's so retro."
The way everyone seemed to love this hero so much made Y/n wonder if she really had been missing out on a lot. She didn't actively research heroes until recently but she couldn't ignore them since the media seemed to shove them down civilian's throats. Her Godfather, Harlan, had sent a few letters since her dad passed but they stopped abruptly. He probably forgot about her or just stopped caring. Maybe this whole thing wasn't that big of a deal. Sure, everybody knew All Might from his interviews, but Y/n knew Yagi Toshinori.
All Might placed his hands on his hips, beaming at the teens. "Welcome to the most important class at U.A High! Think of it as Hero 101! Here you will learn the basics of being a pro and what it means to fight in the name of good. Now let's get into it! Today's lesson will pull no punches!" He presented a card with the word 'Battle' to the students.
"Fight training!" Bakugo grinned.
"But one of the keys of being a hero is looking good!" The hero gestured to the wall where cases with different numbers slid out. "Get yourselves suited up, and then meet me at training ground Beta."
"Yes sir!"
Thankfully Y/n was correct when she believed Mei knew her style. It wasn't flashy but had the necessities. The upper body consisted of a black compression shirt with a f/c bomber jacket, and gauntlets that looked like fingerless gloves.
