It's officially been two weeks since Taylor has gone missing. I'm devastated, and feeling useless. And even worse, I've been having extremely bad thoughts.

My mom knocks on my door. I look up from my cell phone. "Come in." I say, dully. But when the door opens, it's not my mom! It's Daniel! I smile, and make room on my bed. "Hey, E."
"Hi."
"So, how have you been?"
I'm silent. I look down, frowning. Daniel's the only one I've told about my.. Thoughts. He's been helping me a lot. Lots of hugs, lots of words. But, as miserable as I've been, his words are never enough. I want more. I want him to kiss me passionately on the lips and tell me he loves me. I want him to- to do things unexplainable. But I never say so. But, school starts back up tomorrow. Maybe my mind will be taken off of.. That.

I open my mouth to speak. "I miss her so much, Daniel.." I say, my voice breaking. "I just- She was-"
"Is."
I grit my teeth, and I'm actually about to yell at him. I've done that a lot too. Yelling. Hell, this is worse than when my dad left me.
But, before I can, someone else knocks. "Come in!" I say. This time it's actually my mom. "Hey, boys!" She greets us, grinning. God, I love my mom.
"Yes?" Daniel asks. My mom looks like she's about to explode with excitement. "Taylor has been found!!"
I jump off the bed. Daniel is right after me. "WHAT?!" We yell at the same time. My mom nods, grinning. "She's in the hospital, and conscious if you wanna s-"
"TAKE US!!" I yelp, desperate. Daniel gives my shoulder a squeeze, and I calm down. Laughing, my mom turns around saying; "Get your shoes on!"

The second we get there, I'm begging to see Taylor. The receptionist gives in immediately, very confused. I burst into Taylors room, Daniel at my heels. I freeze the second I see her. Daniel stops short behind me.
Taylor's hooked to IV cords, and has bandages all over her. I gasp, tearing up. I run up to her. "Taylor!!"
"Hi, Ethan." She says, weakly, but smiling. I hug her. Daniel takes her hand, and lightly squeezes it before letting go. Jealousy stings, but I let it go. I don't look at Taylor. I can't. So I just hug her. Taylor is laughing. "Ethan, I'm okay." She assures me. I'm now crying. "No, you're not!" I wail. She's laughing. Damn it, Taylor.
