[At Golden Crust Bakery]

YOUR POV

"Look, Yn. This outfit would be nice for an amusement park hangout, right? It's casual yet pretty," Ra-Mi said, showing me pictures of outfits on her phone.

"Yeah, it's great for a casual date and hey, blue is Joonha's favorite color. Nice pick," I teased, earning a light smack on my arm.

"Ow! That hurt!"

"We're just hanging out, not going on a date! Jeez, stop calling it that."

I grinned. "Oh? But your heart flutters when I say that, doesn't it?"

She rolled her eyes and let out a dramatic sigh, clearly out of excuses.

"Alright, tell me this-did Joonha ask you out, or was it the other way around?" I asked straight forward not wanting to pretend anymore as if I don't see anything.

"I... I did. I mean, as friends," she admitted, avoiding my gaze. Then, she looked up at me with those puppy eyes. "I really like Joonha," she finally admits and I listen to her silently, "I really like him a lot. And it all started when I started going to NSU. Back then, some boys were bullying me regularly. The more I protested, the worse it got. It was a nightmare."

"WHAT?! Who dared to bully my baby?! Why didn't you tell me about this before? When did it happen?"

"Aish, calm down. It was a long time ago when I was new there. I thought I could handle those morons, but I was wrong. One day, they almost made me cry in the cafeteria. Out of the hundreds of people there, only Joonha stood up for me. I remember crying so hard in his arms that day. He stayed with me the entire day, taking care of me. Since then, I get all jittery inside whenever I see him. Over time, I realized I'd fallen for him. But I know he doesn't feel the same, so I never had the courage to tell him."

"Aish, silly girl. How would you know if he likes you if you don't tell him how you feel? And if he doesn't like you yet, make him fall for you. Go get your man!" I cheered, trying to lift her spirits.

She gave me a small smile, a glint of hesitation in her eyes. "I didn't because... I thought you two were a thing."

"Sorry, what?" I blinked in confusion, completely thrown off. What even made her think that?

"Crazy, right? I only realized my assumption was wrong when you revealed your boyfriend. I swear, I was so relieved that day," she said, laughing softly.

"Silly! You could've just asked me if you were suspicious!"

"Yeah, that would've been the wise thing to do. But I'm just a dumb girl who was scared of getting her heart broken, you know? It would've been so hard if my assumption had turned out to be true. That's why I didn't say anything."

I sighed, giving her shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "Yeah, I get it. But it's all sorted now, so no more doubts. Now go get your man!" I said with a playful wink.

She giggled, her face lighting up. That smile-I'd missed it. My best friend was finally back.

[At Junkook's house]

I stood in front of Jungkook's new house where he shifted last month. I keyed in the passcode at the main door. As it slid open, I headed towards the house door, tugging my luggage behind me.
