After another excellent performance by Mitch Benson and the boys last night down the road, the Colgate Raiders head to Potsdam, New York to play a supremely talented Clarkson team hoping to knock off a top ranked team. With 16:50 left in the first period, Jared Cockrell scored his first goal of the season to make it 1-0 Colgate. With 10:27 left in the first period, Josh Dunne scored to tie the game 1-1. With 1:54 left in the first period, Chris Klack scored to make it 2-1 Clarkson. Mitch Benson and Frank Marotte matched zeros for the remainder of the period so Tech leads 2-1 heading to the second period. With 7 minutes left in the second period, Haralds Egle scored to make it 3-1 Golden Knights. With 1:44 left in the second period, Josh Dunne scored to make it 4-1 Clarkson. Benson and Marotte matched zeros for the remainder of the period so Clarkson leads 4-1 heading to the third period. With 16 seconds left in the third period, Shane Kuzmeski scored to make it 5-1 Clarkson. Frank Marotte makes fifteen saves and Clarkson rolls 5-1. Colgate dropped to 3-6-3 on the season and 2-2-0 in ECAC Hockey play.
