After the meeting was disbanded, (Y/N) stayed behind with Chiron, who drew a handkerchief and wiped his forehead. (Y/N) wasn't too much younger than Chiron in the big picture, but they had different curses of immortality. And now he was a god, he could see clearly that age had been creeping up on his mentor.

When Chiron noticed the son of Asclepius, he nodded and moved from the head of the table.

"So, what is it you want to show me?"

"It's not too far from here, maybe a couple of minutes at the most."

"Well then, we best get going."

Leaving the big house, they strolled through camp together, past oblivious campers who had no idea of the real impending danger. They walked in silence, but a comfortable silence at that. Soon enough they were in the surrounding forest, shade ahead protection from the boiling summer sun. The noise of camp was quick to be drowned out the further they got away.

About 250 metres into the forest, they arrived. (Y/N) stopped abruptly.

"Is this the place?" questioned the trainer of heroes.

"Yes, it is," answered the defender of Rome faintly.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, just the creek and normal forest views, but what he was after was concealed in such a plain view. Placing his palm against an invisible barrier, he muttered words of Latin and Greek in strings of ancient tongue before the barrier collapsed, revealing the hidden location.

His sacred area hadn't changed a bit since he was last here, so long ago. Fallen tree trunks, mossy stones, all in the same place, untouched. Chiron didn't speak, just taking it all in.

The memorial head-stone ahead still carried the same message he had carved into it with his blade. Chiron sat in horse form to read it as (Y/N) explained.

"Last summer, when you found me out here mourning, this is where I was. I sealed off this small portion of camp from the rest of the world as a sacred area. No one besides ourselves will ever set eyes on it."

Chiron stood up.

"You really did love her, didn't you."

"With everything."

The rushing river and forest animals were the only noises as they stood there.

"And Lady Zoe is your aunt?"

"Well, I'm sorry I never told you this but I received some interesting family news last year. So, you know how Atlas is the father of Calypso and Zoe?"

Chiron nodded.

"Well, it turns out he sired another child in attempts to escape his eternal punishment. He sent raw power out into the world which found a capable mortal woman. The child never reached the capacity of power Atlas expected, but they too had a child, this time a son. A son who's father was the god of healing."

The centaur looked at him with genuine shock, a look (Y/N) hadn't seen him wear often before.

"So, you're a descendant of a titan? And Atlas none the less?"

"Yes. It's what helped me overcome my mortality and ascend to godhood. It's also why I earned the title as 'god of endurance'. Zeus has faith in wiping out the Titans from rising ever again, more specifically Kronos but the others too. On the topic though, that's how I'm related to Zoe. She may not be a complete blood aunt, but she's the closest I've had to one really. I always looked forwards to our run ins, and now I'll never even get to greet her as family."

A stray tear rolled down his cheek.

Chiron trotted over to the boy and held out his hand. (Y/N) accepted, hauling himself onto the old centaurs back and riding off, sealing the sacred area to be hidden once more.
