Living with One Direction (Hariana)

-160-: Ellie smiles

It was a couple of weeks after Harry and Ariana got back from visiting Harry's family which meant that Ellie was now just over 6 1/2 weeks old. She's been starting to be a little more vocal and aware of everything. It was early in the morning for both Ariana and Harry when Ellie decided that she wanted to play.

She was in her bassinet kicking and making noises. Ariana picked her up and placed her on her legs. She was moving her arms like crazy, sometimes hitting herself in the face. Harry tried tickling her in different spots, but she would only squeal and wiggle around. Once it turned 7 o'clock, the three of them went downstairs to get some breakfast. Ariana placed Ellie in her swing and she tried to catch the little hanging stuffed animals. Ellie was kicking and squealing in excitement.

"I won't be surprised if she wants to become a singer." Harry laughed. "She's quite the talker."

Ariana looked over at him. "I don't think you're wrong."

The both of you looked over at their daughter who was having the time of her life. Then out of nowhere she started to smile.

"Harry, she's smiling."

He walked over to her and played with her toes.

"Is my little princess smiling for the first time? Is she?" Harry smiled and kissed her belly.

She made happy little sounds and grabbed Harry's hair in her hands. Ariana tried to contain her laughter.

"Els, you're gonna rip your daddy's hair out." Ariana laughed and tried to take her hands off of Harry's head.

She started to cry when Ariana did that so Harry gave her a toy after fixing his hair. She went back to blabbering to herself while the two of you made breakfast.

After breakfast was made and eaten, Ariana and Harry had to finish the nursery. Ariana and Harry were putting things together all day.

Ellie was getting comfortable being in the room and even laid down in her crib for a little nap. In the evening, Ariana put Ellie down on her stomach to see what she would do. Harry was in the kitchen making popcorn for a little movie night. She kicked her little legs and pressed her face into the fabric.

"What's little E working on?" Harry asked, putting down the bowl of popcorn.

"I'm gonna see if she can raise her head at all. Even though babies start raising their head around 4 to 6 months, they usually start building their muscles earlier than that."

"Oh, I thought they just raised their head." He sat down beside Ariana.

"Yeah it's weird, but that's how they do it." Ariana shrugged.

Ellie then started to lift her head a little off the ground. It was only a little but Ariana picked her up and placed kisses all over her face. She smiled like crazy and blabbered. The movie was just about to start when Harry's phone rang.

"Hello?" He said, picking up.

"Hey Harry, I know it's late but we really need the instrumental part for quite a bit of the songs. Could you come in for a few hours?"

He looked at Ariana and sighed.

"How badly is this needed cause I don't wanna come in if it's not an emergency."

"Pretty badly."

"Okay fine, I'll be right in."

Harry hung up and threw his head back on the couch.

"I'm really sorry love but the guys and I have been called into the studio. They say it urgent."

"Ugh. Can't we ever have one normal day to enjoy ourselves without our record labels budding in." Ariana groaned.
