The gentle warmth of the afternoon sun seeped through the window, casting a comforting glow over the room. You lay propped against a mound of pillows, the soft fabric cradling your back. A warm blanket, smelling faintly of lavender and something vaguely citrusy, was tucked around your waist, a familiar weight anchoring me to the bed.

Sakura's hand, gentle, stroked your hair, sending a wave of relaxation through you. "Are you comfortable?" he asked, his voice a warm murmur against the quiet afternoon. You nodded, snuggling deeper into the pillows.

His presence, a constant since the incident. The bruises that marred your skin, the ache in your bones, the lingering fear that clung to the edges of your thoughts – none of it seemed to matter in the face of his quiet concern.

"I'm gonna head out for a bit," he said, his voice laced with concern. "The boys will be here with you okay? If you need anything, let me know, okay?"

Your hand instinctively reached out, finding his and holding on tightly. "Where are you going?" You asked, your voice a little hoarse.

He smiled, a soft, reassuring smile that reached his eyes. "I'm heading over to school with Nirei to meet with Umemiya."

You nodded, your gaze settling on the delicate lines of his face, the worry etched into his brow. "Just rest up okay," he said, his voice a low rumble. Then, a thought seemed to strike him. "But before I go, I need to apply the ointment."

He walked over to a small table, grabbing a first-aid kit. He rummaged through it, pulling out a small, white tube. It was the prescription ointment he had been using to soothe the wounds you had sustained. You watched him with a small smile as he opened the tube, the familiar scent of lavender and something faintly medicinal filling the air.

Sakura gently unbuttoned your top, revealing the raw injured skin. His touch was careful, almost hesitant, and you could see his eyes flicker with discomfort. It was a look you knew well, the look of a man who was used to fighting, yet who was completely helpless when it came to the fear of hurting the woman he loved.

"Are you really okay with this?" he asked, his voice a whisper.

You chuckled, a tired, breathless sound. "You don't need to keep asking. I told you I don't mind. Nobody is here yet anyway..."

He frowned, his features etched with concern. "That may be, but I still feel like I shouldn't be...exposing you like this..."

"But you're worried and thats why you want to see my injuries, it's only natural for you, Sakura" You reassured him

You gently held his hand, bringing it close to you. "Also, how else will you put the ointment on, hm?" You let out a tired chuckle. "You're always gentle, and I like that, so please don't worry. Your touch keeps me protected."

He looked at you, his eyes searching for reassurance. "And I still want my kisses..." You smiled at him, a genuine smile that finally cracked through the tension that had been clinging to you

Sakura smiled back, a flicker of relief passing through his eyes. He carefully applied the ointment, his touch gentle and precise. You closed your eyes, allowing his presence to wash over you.

Once he finished, he leaned down, placing a soft kiss on your tummy, the gesture as familiar as a heartbeat. "Thank you!" You said contentedly, your voice a grateful whisper.

Sakura buttoned up your top, leaving the top two buttons open thanks to your request, he then pulled the blanket higher around you, moulding it to your shape. He paused, his gaze lingering on your face. "I'll be back as soon as I can," he whispered, his voice rough with emotion. Then, he leaned down and kissed you, a kiss that felt like a promise, a shield against the shadows that threatened to engulf you.

He left the room, one the other boys had arrived, the gentle click of the door closing behind him echoing in the silence. You watched him go, a wave of peace washing over you. His presence, his touch, it was an anchor in the storm, a promise of safety that echoed in your heart, even after he was gone.

Kiryu placed a small teddy bear on your shoulder, you snuggled into it, feeling the furriness.

"Your little friend" Kiryu smiled happily.

"Thank you." You said softly.

"You just get some rest okay, we'll be on guard. Sakura-chan has specifically told us to guard your sleep, so, rest your eyes" Kiryu smiled as he gently stroked your hair. You nodded.

"But first I need really want to give you a hug...I feel like I haven't given you a hug in ages..." Kiryu pouted, earning a chuckle from you.

He carefully pulled your exhausted body into his arms, he could feel no strength in your body and this made him frown. Suo noticed this and understood exactly what Kiryu was feeling. Suo gently rubbed your back. "I'm not hurting you am I?" Kiryu asked, gently stroking your hair, you shook your head.

He placed you back against the pillows, you could feel eyelids getting heavy. He gently pecked your forehead.

"Sleep" He smiled. You looked up at Suo and he let out a chuckle. He leaned down and placed a soft kiss on your forehead.

"Pretty sure Sakura-kun will kill us if he finds us kissing his girlfriend..." Suo snorted as he shook his head.

"Oh no he won't, we just gave her more healing power, duh..." Kiryu rolled his eyes, you and Suo both chuckled

"I won't tell him..." You smiled. They both smiled

[At school]

The rooftop garden, usually a haven of tranquility, felt suffocating. Sakura's breath hitched in his throat, a chill spreading through him despite the warm afternoon sun. Umemiya's words echoed in his mind, a chilling revelation that shattered the fragile peace he had created.

"Endo...is a former Furin member?" Sakura whispered, the sound barely audible above the rustling of the wind through the plants.

Umemiya nodded, a somber expression clouding his usually jovial features. "He left the group a few years ago, and we haven't seen him since."

"He knows Y/n somehow, and he also knows that she's knows us..." Umemiya added

"Endo is crazy, Sakura. It makes sense..." Umemiya added

"He allowed us to rescue Y/n on purpose, he's planning something else...we need to protect Y/n and cannot let her get hurt again..." Umemiya said sternly.

"I'll talk to my guys first and then we act accordingly. Don't mention anything about this to Y/n." He said. But Sakura seemed to be lost in thought, too shocked to even speak

...

"Sakura. Are you listening to me?" Umemiya snapped him out of his thoughts

!!!

"Y/n is still in danger. We are not going to let him hurt her again" Umemiya said calmly. Sakura nodded
