James opened his eyes, revealing the sight of the enchanted forest. Was the night before a dream? He turned his head and saw Bridget. It wasn't. He had to get back to the lair soon. Uli and the crew were probably feeling suspicious of him. "Princess?" He whispered, slightly nudging Bridget. The pink haired girl smiled at him, stirring. "goodmorning." She mumbled. "I have to get back. Do you want me to take you to your dorm?" James asked her, moving the hair out of her face. "No," she yawned, "that's okay. I'll walk with you to the bridge and then we can part ways." She continued, standing up and lifting James up. They walked on the bridge, hand in hand. Before they parted, they shared one last kiss. Bridget ran off and James walked to the black lagoon.

James entered the lair, a smell of rotten fish immediately entering his nose. Why did their spot have to be a damn dead fish carcus? He didn't know. He didn't ask questions. He sat down on the ground, putting his head back and running his fingers through his hair, just like Bridget had done the night before. "Well, well, well, look what the sharks dragged in." Uliana sneered, hitting him in the head with one of her tentacles. "Where ya been, loverboy?" Morgie asked, positioning himself next to Uliana like he was some evil sidekick. Morgie always wanted Ulis approval, just because he wanted her to like him. Hook rolled his eyes, why were they nagging at him. He was executing the plan perfectly. "I was toying with pinkie pie." He cackled, trying to hide the fact that he had fell madly in love with Bridget. Uliana grinned at his comment. "Just remember, if you betray us, you won't know what i'll have in store." She said, crossing her arms. He looked up at the wall, he did not want to be burnt to a crisp or pricked with 1000 thorns. He knew what Uliana was capable of, and he did not want to face it. He forced a laugh, "I'm not gonna betray you guys. The plan is working out perfectly.." Morgie eyed him suspiciously, circling the pirate. "You better be. We can't afford any mishaps or slip ups." He said. James nodded, but he couldn't stop thinking about Bridget and the promise he made to her. The lines between his mission and desire started to blur, and he knew time was ticking to make a decision. Ulianas sharp gaze pierced through him. "Whatever, you anglerfish." She cackled, rolling her eyes. Her and Morgie exited the lair and left Malificent, Hades, and Hook. "We know." Hades said right after the pair had left. James eyes darted at the couple, "Know what?!" He said defensively, standing up at the comment. "Oh come on loverboy. We saw you guys at the ice cream parlor. You would've never done that for some dumb revenge plan. Where did the two of you go last night?" Malificent asked, staring at her friend with a puzzled expression. "We- I-". Hook started stammering defensively, trying to come up with an excuse. "We- I- come on, just tell us. We aren't going to judge you." The firey God told his pirate friend. "Well.." James paused, should he really tell them? Malificent was his bestfriend and Hades was dating her, so he felt like he could trust them. "We went to the enchanted lake and stayed the night." He finished, almost flinching, scared of what they were going to think. Malificent smiled, "Aw. Young love!" She cackled, smiling at her boyfriend. "It's okay, we won't tell anyone, but how are you going to break the news to Uli that you can't go through with the plan?" Hades questioned, staring at Hook in the eyes. "I just- I can't! She's going to kill me if she finds out. Literally!" He screamed, falling to the floor dramatically like he was in some soap opera. "I'm going to run away and be apart of the circus!" He continued, screaming into his hands. Malificent and Hades stood above him, staring with pity. "He went from loverboy to Mr.Loverman real quick." Hades said jokingly. Malificent held in her giggle, shoving her boyfriend jokingly. "Well, you have 6 days til castlecoming. 6 days to come up with what you're going to do." Malificent said. Her and Hades were lecturing James like they were his parents. "Well, aren't we going to class this week so we can actually attend castlecoming?" James asked, an idea forming in his head. You couldn't attend castlecoming if you skipped class at all the week before. Hades nodded, and him and his girlfriend walked away, leaving Hook laying on the ground. He contemplated everything going on while staring at the wall. This was going to be a long week. He needed to find a way to sabotage the crews revenge plan. The thought of betraying his friends was horrid, but thinking about hurting Bridget was unbearable.

It was time for James to actually go to school for once. Wow. He put on his everyday outfit and met out with the crew. They decided to walk to school together for the rest of the week. Uliana and Morgie stood together, Malificent and Hades on their left, and Hook was.. off to the side. "So, Mal and I are going dress shopping today. Are you boys going shopping for your castlecoming outfits?" Uliana asked, glancing at Morgie but still walking at a fast pace. "Yes maam! We will have that done." Morgie said with an urgency in his voice. Hades rolled his eyes, grabbing onto Malificents hand tighter out of annoyance. They finally got to the courtyard of the school, the squad was casually chatting, when at the corner of James eye, he saw his pink princess and her blue haired friend. Bridget waved to him but he decided to ignore and look down at the floor, picking up his pace and catching up with the VKs.

Bridget slightly gasped, shocked and irritated at James new behavior. She had looked forward to seeing him after the weekend. She pursed her lips and crossed her arms, her usual bubbly personality changing to a polar opposite. "What's wrong, Bridg?" Ella asked, side hugging her friend. "Nothing.. It's just.." She paused. Was she really supposed to be mad over him? Even if she wasn't, she was. "James." She whispered, looking down at the floor. Ella's face turned into an expression of disappointment. Why was her perfect friend liking someone like.. him. "He's probably trying to keep up appearances with his cool little friends." She scoffed, rolling her eyes and patting Bridget on the back. Bridget smiled, trying to mask her annoyance and hurt. "I just thought he was different, that's all." She sighed, rubbing her neck. Ella squeezed her friends hand, "Don't worry. He's not worth your time." The girls got a head start and walked to their first class of the day early. James looked across from the courtyard at his girl, he was doing this to protect her, not hurt her. As long as she didn't cross Ulianas mind, maybe it would all be okay.
