Bridget slowly stretched herself out, the warm sun gleam flooding through her window. It was officially castlecoming day! It was a long wait, though. It was at 9 til the clock struck midnight. She got out of bed, spinning around. Instead of actual school, the students of Merlin got to go around and play games on campus. Since Bridget was a freshman, this was her first time experiencing it! Everything felt so surreal. She threw on a pink knitted sweater and a jean skirt. She sat at her vanity, looking through all her makeup. She glanced into the mirror, and sadly smiled. She thought her first year of highschool would be a bit different. She dreamt of having many friends and being popular. A tear fell down her cheek but she quickly bounced back to her bubbly self. She quickly applied some makeup. "Time to go." She whispered to herself, running out of the dorm.

James paced around his ship. Bridget was going to come over to hang out before castlecoming and he was nervous. He had never been to a dance before and didn't want to mess up. He had never liked anyone the way he liked her. He sat on his desk, banging his head lightly. Right after he was done with his fit, he remembered that he was going to go meet Bridget. He ran off the ship and to the school.

"So no castlecoming for you?" Bridget frowned, asking her friend. She was genuinely so sad that they couldn't experience their first dance together. Ella slightly side eyed her, "It's okay bridg. You know how my stepmom is. I shouldn't have even snuck out last night." Bridget thought for a moment, turning her head towards her friend, "What were you doing?.." She asked. Ella's eyes widened. What excuse was she going to make up. "I was uhm.. just taking a stroll." She said hesitantly. Bridget shrugged her shoulders, not thinking much of it. Crash! Everyone cocked their heads, trying to see what was going on. "Learn to move!" The pirate said to the skater boy, Charming. Charming shook his head, Ella running over to help him. James ran towards Bridget, she almost fell over from the force of the hug he gave her. "I'm" He kissed her forehead "So" he kissed her again on the cheek "Sorry i'm late." He panted, giving her another kiss, this time on the lips. She gave him a peck. "Why are you so sweaty love?" She giggled, wiping some of the sweat off his forehead. "I forgot I was meeting you today." He said, holding her tight. Everyone was staring at them. Ella gave a dirty look at the sight. Charming moved Ella's head in his direction. "Yo girl. You going to castlecoming?" He asked. Ella lightly blushed at him. "I'm not sure yet." He got up, hoisting her up. "Let me know." He said before skating away. Ella smiled, playfully rolling her eyes. She looked back at her friend, the princess and the pirate waking away. She felt bad that she was about to humiliate her.

James and Bridget sat on a boat dock, the seagulls squawking and the salt air breezing lightly on them. She put her head on his shoulder. "I can't wait for tonight." She whispered. James smiled. "Me either princess." He responded. "So, we are getting ready together, right?" He asked. Bridget smiled. "Yes! I was going to get ready with Ella but she unfortunately can't go." She responded. He hugged her tightly. She hugged him even tighter, the two falling off the dock and into the shallow waters. Bridget giggled, helping him up. She giggled. In any other circumstance, James would've been mad. But it was his princess, so it was okay. The way she laughed was beautiful. Everything about her was breathtaking. All he could do was stare at her, smiling, absolutely starstruck. He was the luckiest guy in the world. Bridget slowly stopped laughing. Smiling back at him. It was quiet. You could hear it in the silence. They were in love. True love. "We should get ready." James said, breaking the silence and jumping back on the dock, grabbing Bridget and helping her up. They looked at each other one more time and grabbed each other's hands. Bridget playfully ran off the dock, dragging James along. There wasn't a care in the world for either of them.
