Xander's POV
"You said you didn't want a speech so all of us wrote you cards for different occasions. If you feel sad my mother left you a note. If you're angry I somehow let JJ convince me to let her write it. When you feel like giving up I wrote you a note. There are a few in your desk. Aside from that, I want you to remember how much we love you." Dad pulled me into a group hug
"Remember I'll kill anyone on command! Even behind dad's back!"
"Get in the car!" Dad yelled at her
"Thanks AJ I'll keep that in mind."
"I can't murder but I can send you acid recipes and bomb blueprints."
"Twins!" Mabel scolded
"If you can't get in touch with AJ you can reach out to me!" Niko added
"I'm gonna miss all of you." I hugged my younger siblings
"It's time to go Sunny. I left you a long list of recipes. You can FaceTime me anytime and we can cook together." Mabel hugged me
"Thanks for being my mom."
"Of course Xander."
"Bye!" I waved as they loaded up in the car and drove away
I didn't think I'd feel this crushed over seeing them leave. I walked back inside to my apartment. When I reached the living room I saw a bunch of girls sitting around.
"There you are!" A blonde girl beamed
"Sorry I was having dinner with my family."
"It's fine. We know how hard the first night is."
I smiled and sat at the kitchen island. Jesse parked herself underneath my seat.
"Awww your dog is so cute! Is it a boy or a girl?"
"She's a girl. Her name is Jesse."
"Is she an actual service dog or a did you just buy the vest." One girl asked
Are you actually Muslim or is that hijab for fun?
Is what I would've asked but Jesse barked and licked my fingers.
"She looks real to me."
"Yeah Jesse is a certified service dog. I've had her for three years. The school wouldn't allow her in the dorms if she wasn't certified."
"I don't want her licking me. I have a severe dog allergy."
"She won't. She's also hypoallergenic but I still brought a heavy duty pet vacuum. Though, she doesn't really shed much."
"Enough with the interrogation. Jesse seems like the goodest girl. Let's just move onto introduction. I'm Amari, and I'm a senior on the Track & Field team. I'm also a Biomed and health informatics major."
"I'll go next. The name's Luisa and I'm also a senior. I play for the volleyball team and I'm a Human Resources major. I'm the only non stem girlie in here."
"I'm Harper and I'm a sophomore majoring in Computational Finance and Risk Management with a focus in Data Science. I'm also a rower."
"I'm Ivy. Like Harps I'm a second year and I'm majoring in Applied and Computational Math Sciences with a focus Mathematical Economics and Quantitative Finance. It's a mouthful but I promise I'm just a girl who's good at math. Oh and I play softball."
"My name is Hibah, I'm a freshman. I play golf and I'm a nursing student."
"My name is Xander, I'm on both the soccer and football team. And I'm a freshman majoring in Bioengineering with a focus in Nanoscience and Molecular Engineering."
