Chapter-18
Advait was dressed nicely. He was wearing a white shirt and a black jeans with shiny black shoes and a beautiful watch was the only additional accessory. His look was minimalist and that's how gentlemen carry themselves.
But is he a gentleman? That's what Avantika was thinking ever since Aditi told that dark secret about Advait. She was dressed nicely too, a flowery dress, the right amount of cute and sexy, expressive and explosive, hot and sweet and she was excited for the date.
It was giving her more guilt. She knows such a negative thing about him yet she is less bothered. It's not like she isn't bothered, she has been thinking about it all the time, she has given up sleep, she has suffered enough. But after all that, she is less bothered to give up her love. And that's the reason for guilt. She is so much in love that she is putting a blindfold on her eyes and trying to forget that the man she loves has blood on his hands.
On the other hand, she tried justifying it too. She thought, "Whatever happened, happened. In future, he wouldn't do it. I will take him away from politics and all these things."
It was a partially successful attempt to justify it but every time she was coming across her father who always taught her how these radicals are the bad people, the guilt comes back.
Advait asked her a dozen times if she wanted him to pick her up but she replied in negative as she wanted to discreetly get out of the house (by first wearing normal jeans and top) and then wear her dress at Aditi's house.
Avantika took off her flowery dress, packed it up, wore jeans and a tee and then told her parents she is going to stay at Aditi's house and left the house.
She reached Aditi's house, went to her bedroom and was quick to start changing her dress and get ready and do a little makeup.
Aditi was not happy about it.
"You are still going to meet him?" Aditi asked.
"Not just a meet, it's a date," Avantika replied.
"A date with a murderer?" Aditi said in anger.
"Look, you said he only supplied gun, not like he participated in that. We still don't know if he's a murderer or not. Second thing, whatever happened, it's the past. Everyone has a past, and -" Avantika was speaking.
"Not everyone has a murderer past," Aditi resorted.
"I know but whatever happened, happened. I feel he's a victim too. Victim of his uncle's radicalization. Otherwise, he wouldn't have turned out like this. But everyone deserves a second chance at life and I am that second chance," Avantika said with some confidence, although deep inside Aditi's words were hurting her.
Aditi stood up, "I just care for you, Avantika. Just stay safe, okay?"
"Okay," Avantika nodded.
Then Aditi helped her at the makeup and little bit adjustment at the dress. Avantika took the cab and reached the Valentino's.
The place justifies the hype and the reputation it has. Everything is luxurious from the outside and the inside. She went in, told the receptionist about the reservation under the name of Advait Sharma and Avantika Singh, the receptionist told her the table number in the rooftop area.
Receptionist - "Would you wish me to take you there, Ma'am?"
Avantika did want that. It was her first time here and she didn't want to go lost or look lost at this place but the idea of Advait sitting on a chair and Avantika is walking by with a receptionist sounds less romantic.
There should be Avantika alone to walk there and Advait should just keep looking at her and offer her the chair like a good man.
Avantika - "No, I will go alone."
She took the elevator and reached the rooftop area, it had nice vibes - playful, romantic, elite, luxurious.
She looked around and there he was, looking like a gentleman. She began her walk, a slow yet nice walk. It was her time to recreate the gaj gamini walk!
Advait stood up, offered her the chair, made her sit and when he sat on his chair as well, he kept looking at her with a smile, showing her without words that he's memorized and he's totally obsessed with her.
Earlier Avantika always desired a man who's obsessed with her but now it's giving her chills. Because this man who might be obsessing over her is not just her crush but a potential murderer with access to guns.
