33. Avantika and Arjun

Chapter-33

"I would not like to answer that question," Avantika said.

"Fair enough, but I have another question from you," Arjun said.

"What?" Avantika asked.

"Wanna have a dance?" He asked.

"Your girlfriend is here, are you sure about that?" Avantika was already hating him.

"Trust me, there is no romanticism between you and me. But there's a relationship between us, and it should be explored." Arjun said.

"What relationship, what the fuck are you talking about?" Avantika said.

"Relationship of curiosity, hate and mystery. I know you have been trying to know about me. How I know that, I won't tell. But I do know what you are upto, but the thing is, even I have been trying to know about you, and I feel I have been more successful than you" Arjun said.

These words pierced deeper into Avantika's soul, she was afraid now knowing that he knows that she was trying to know about him but more afraid with the fact that even he had been after her. But why?

"So, shall we dance and talk further there?" Arjun said.

She had no choice and she said yes, and then went to the dance floor. His hand stayed away from her, he was respectful at the moment.

But they were close.

"I won't play naive anymore. I know you have been lying about Advait with everyone, and that's why I was trying to understand more. Why were you doing it with your best friend?" She asked.

"I didn't lie." He said.

"Liar. I know you lied. Advait didn't deliver guns to the rioters, he was only helping a family from the goons," avantika said.

"You are right, he did help the family from the goons but he also delivered the guns to the rioters. But don't worry, I don't hate him for that. In such times, he did what a person has to do. Besides, if Karan Veer uncle was my relative, I would have done anything for him to show my loyalty and wait for him to gift me power and luxury." Arjun said.

"Advait isn't after power or money, he isn't like that," Avantika tried to defend.

They were barely dancing, although separated from the crowd but anyone could notice, they were arguing rather than dancing.

"Is that so? Then why he isn't here? With his beautiful girlfriend? Instead he's with his uncle," Arjun said.

So he knows about her and Advait.

"I don't have to answer to you," Arjun said.

"But can you give answers to your father? You know the funny thing I found about you is that your father is a small time activist, a good person indeed and he is very critical of Karan Veer Sharma and everything he stands for. He's very critical of people who supports him. What will your father feel knowing that you are dating the nephew of Karan Veer sharma, on top of that, the nephew who helps rioters. All the ideals of your father will break in front of him, you will break his heart." Arjun said.

"Are you blackmailing me that you will tell my dad?" She asked, but by now she was terrified.

"I am not. But I want you to stop your detective shit for me. Stay away from, from my girlfriend. Stay neutral and nothing will happen to you. If you say anything of this to Advait, your dad will be disowning you soon. If you go against me, it won't be good for you. And if you decide to be on my side and help me, trust me, you will get a piece of pie too. Unlike the big people, I tend to reward loyalty without an inch of nepotism," Arjun said.

"What help?" Avantika asked.

"Won't tell you until I know you are loyal to me. And this is the end of the conversation for now." Arjun said and began to walk away.

Avantika stood there, confused, a little panicked, afraid and not sure what to do.

She called Advait, she called him so many times in panic and fear.

He picked up one call and she was saying, "Advait, where are you? I need you, please."

"Look behind you," He said.

And he was there. Standing in a white shirt and black jeans, looking as handsome as always. She ran to him and hugged him. She doesn't know if she can tell him anything or not, the threat of her father knowing is too scary but for now, she just want to hug Advait tightly and feel safe in his arms.

"I love you," Avantika said.

"I love you too." Advait replied.

Usually, I used to post once in two days but feeling too guilty for not posting anything in last 2 weeks, so even though I posted yesterday, I am posting today as well.
