Chapter-29
Advait and Avantika are not really in the talking phase lately. Avantika was too busy trying to find out why would Arjun spread a false rumor about Advait, and Advait wanted to take a break from her, especially after how she reacted on him not being virgin and how she almost considered him as a murderer.
Even though they weren't on the speaking terms with each other, they were thinking about each other only. While Avantika was thinking why would Arjun spread rumors about her love, Advait was thinking what's the best way to initiate a conversation with her.
In the college, they were crossing each other's path but before Advait could talk to Avantika, Payal came to him and deliberately took him to the other side.
They crossed paths again but this time, Advait was with Arjun and Avantika thought it's better for her to not talk to him at this moment until she finds out the truth.
Days passed and Avantika was missing talking to him, spending time with him, and as days passed, the fest came nearer. Avantika was performing a solo dance that she was less excited about.
Payal was really pain in the ass. She would always make a comment on Avantika and try to make a negative comment on her dance rehearsal. Avantika was getting annoyed and she needed a way to tackle this.
Avantika waited for Mehwish to be alone and then went to speak with her, "Hi"
"Hi?" Mehwish wasn't sure why she approached her.
"I need to talk to you," Avantika said.
"Sure," Mehwish said.
"Not here, can we go somewhere more private?" Avantika said and then suggested that they could go to one of the empty classroom.
Mehwish was confused what's happening. Lately she's been thinking a lot about Arjun's plan of killing Advait and it's been making her more anxious than ever.
They reached in the empty class and Avantika said, "look, I know you are involved with Arjun. I also know that you two are fucking each other. I also know that you two are trying to hide your relationship for some reasons too. Whatever, I don't care. Your dear friend Payal is bothering me too much, making comments on me, trying to steal Advait from me and lot more."
Mehwish was listening fine until she mentioned Advait.
Avantika continued, "I am not good at it. But I want to have a deal. I am just speaking too directly, I know. But listen to me, I won't share about your relationship with anyone. In exchange I want you to make Payal not bother me anymore. Can you do that?"
Mehwish nodded in yes.
"Thank you," Avantika said. But Avantika was thinking how silent Mehwish was? Is it her general nature or is she scared about something? Maybe scared that Avantika might spill the knowledge she has about her and Arjun.
Avantika gently rested her hand on Mehwish's shoulder, "Hey, don't worry. I will not tell anyone. Okay? I didn't mean to scare you. I know you must not be as bad as Payal. Just help me out. She's just too much."
Mehwish nodded with a fake smile, "I will do what I can."
"Thank you," Avantika said and then went back to her dance rehearsal.
She enjoys dancing but doesn't enjoy the idea of dancing in front of a crowd. Now it's too late, she will perform it and forget it.
In the evening, she went home and called Aditi. They have been discussing the same topic over and over again - Why did Arjun spread the rumor against Advait?
"I think Arjun doesn't like Advait," Aditi said.
"Why so?" Avantika asked.
"Advait has been overshadowing Arjun for quite a long. It's always like Advait and his friends. Arjun has less of his identity. Maybe it bothers him so he spread that rumor," Aditi replied.
"But that's not a harmless rumor for a catfight. It was a serious allegations. I feel something is going on. I need to talk to Advait about it, I have a feeling that he should know whom to trust and whom not to," Avantika said.
"Go on, talk to him. Maybe that would be for the best," Aditi said.
They talked for a while and then Aditi went for sleep. Avantika texted Advait that she wanna meet him tomorrow. Then she went to sleep as well.
