21. Lemonade

Chapter-21

The first date was kind of over. Not technically but after what Avantika spilled, it felt less like a date and more like a court place to Advait.

A murderer!

He rolled his eyes thinking this girl is insane, but also laughed at the fact that it took her just one glass of wine to spill it all out. The insta meme of 'he/she doesn't even hesitate' is definitely relatable.

However, he was angry too, not at Avantika but at Aditi for saying those things about him. He was angry at Avantika's father too for hating his uncle but it seems like Advait is definitely in love with her that he can get angry at Aditi and Avantika's Dad but not at Avantika.

The lemonade came and she drank it. Within some time, the snacks came too and by now, alcohol's effects was fading - of course, it will, she hardly drank one glass of wine!

By now, Avantika does realise that she has said few things that she shouldn't have said.

"I am sorry for whatever I may have said, I mean, it happened because of you," She said.

"Because of me?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

"You ordered wine. I got drunk. You told me that you aren't virgin. I felt deep emotions about it and then I went on the mode of speaking whatever coming to my mind. If you weren't having sex with girls before meeting me, I would have only talked lovey-dovey things with you. And you should apologise that you touched other girls before me," She said. Even though she wasn't drunk now, seems like she doesn't hesitate generally either.

"I am sorry, and like i said, if we do come in a relationship, you can expect full loyalty from me. But the murderer thing, I am not a murderer," He replied.

He was being quite nice with her because of the love he feels and the fact that he is already imagining going rough on her on bed.

"I know, I am sorry. I know you only supplied guns to the rioters," She said.

"I didn't supply guns to the rioters. I only,' he looked around and lowered his voice, "I only helped a family for self-defense. When the riots started, some goons were threatening them to sell their property or they will kill them and get it blamed on the riots and that no one can save them. I helped that family by giving guns to them, and they never even used it. Just used it to threaten the goons back who didn't bother them again. That's all what happened, nothing more. It has nothing to do with riots, rioters, murder or whatever."

"Ohh," She said. She was relieved that he isn't a murderer or has blood on his hands but now she was feeling so bad that she said those things or believed those things.

"I am really, really sorry," She said next.

"It's okay, but I will need to talk to Aditi soon. She can't just spread this rumor about me," Advait said.

"Hey, please don't, she made me promise that I won't tell this to anyone. If she knows I told you or if you confront her, my friendship with her is over. She's my best friend. I will convince her that the rumor is false and you don't have to talk to her, okay?" Avantika said.

"Okay, if you say so," He said.

"Can I ask something? I believe you that you have nothing wrong on you but your uncle, is he clean?" she asked.

He shook his head in no. She understood and realised that he did give an answer but doesn't wanna talk about it.

They had their meal, they did talk a little bit more and while they came closer in a way that they know a little bit more about each other, this date was romantically a disaster.

He paid the bills and they walked out of the cafe, they sat in the car and as she told him to drop her at Aditi's house, he dropped her there.

Before getting out of the car, "I am sorry for today. But do know that I love you a lot."

She didn't say it but she hopes that he realises that she loves him so much that she was ready to accept the part that he might be a murderer. It may not sound traditionally romantic but who else can love him like this?

He just nodded.

She left the car and embarrassingly walked in the house. Aditi was waiting for her to know all the details about the date.
