Chapter-23

Aditi doesn't really share a good relationship with her cousin, Payal. They have opposite personalities. Aditi is cheerful, funny, a normal girl who likes being normal and not bitchy unnecessarily.

Payal is a bitchy girl with an attitude who doesn't get along with the normal people.

Aditi thought about it a lot but she didn't want to meet Payal at college. At college, Payal is always surrounded by other people, especially Mehwish and Naina. There's no chance at private conversation. She was thinking about it when she heard her mom on the call with Payal's mom.

After the call was done, Aditi asked her mom, "you was talking to Payal's mom?"

"Yes," Her mom replied while she was adjusting pillows on the sofa.

"How's she?" Aditi asked.

"She's fine, just has a little fever," Her mom replied as she went on doing her stuff.

"Fever, sounds good!" Aditi said to herself and without telling anything to her mom, she got dressed, took a cab and reached Payal's house, it was nearby only.

She rang the bell and Payal's mom was there and she was glad to see Aditi.

"Hey, Masi, how are you? I heard you have fever. I thought of seeing you as I was passing by to meet a friend," Payal said.

"You are so considerate, my own daughter didn't ask me how am I," Her Masi was totally impressed.

Aditi didn't say anything but she thought Payal is such a self centred bitch that she doesn't even care about people around her.

Her Masi welcomed her in, she went inside and took a seat at sofa and then had few conversations with her and then she asked for Payal and her masi told her she's in the room.

Aditi went there and knocked at the door, and the door opened soon but Payal was shocked to see Aditi.

"You are here?" Payal was confused.

"Yes, I am. Can we have a talk?" Aditi asked.

"Yes, we can but why are you here?" Payal seemed confused.

Aditi went inside the bedroom which seemed pretty normal for the girl that Payal was, and even her dressing at home was quite ordinary. Totally opposite to how she present herself at college.

"Okay, I know you don't like me and that's fine but I need some information from you and in exchange, I will give you one information," Aditi said.

"I don't think I am interested in this information exchange program," Payal said.

"Even if it's about Advait taking a girl on a date?" Aditi said, she is ready to sell her bestie but for the greater good.

"Advait on a date? Impossible, he's too distant. He isn't it." Payal replied.

"Leave it then, if you don't wanna believe," Aditi said and pretended to leave the room.

"No stop, tell me about it. Who was the girl?" Payal asked.

"No, first tell me the thing I want to know. Then I will share. Tell me do you know if Advait has helped some family in need? Like helping them with security or helping them in money? Sounds familiar? 2-3 years back, during those riots. Do you know anything about it?" Aditi asked.

"Why are you asking it?" Payal asked.

"Just answer me, do you know anything about it?" Aditi asked.

"I don't know. Are you talking about his driver's family? He does help them after the death of the driver. Other things I don't know," Payal said.

"Do you know the name or where they live?" Aditi asked.

"How would I know? I don't know. Why are you even asking? And who's the girl he went to date with?" Payal asked.

Aditi was disappointed. She barely got any good information except the driver family thing.

"Avantika, he went to the date with my best friend. He's totally in love with her. She told me he was kissing the ground she was walking on," Aditi said, loving it to get her cousin jealous like this.

Payal was angry but didn't say anything. Aditi left the house and told Avantika everything on the call but now they were confused how will they find the driver's family. This detective thing is tougher than how it seems in the movies.

Aditi went back to her home, she called Rishabh at night, little frustrated at the fact that there's no lead at the detective stuff. She told Rishabh everything but he suggested her to stay away from all of it.

"I need to know the truth too, now. It's for Avantika as well. I can't see it if he's in relationship with a murderer. But there's a chance he isn't. So, it's important," Aditi told Rishabh.

"I wish I could help but we can't find a family if we don't even know the name. I mean even address is secondary here," Rishabh said.

"I know. Maybe Avantika will find a way," She said.
