"I don't want you near my sister again got it?" Alexander slammed his fists on the table which caused Aliza to jump.
"You can't choose who I be around Alexander! I'm an adult and you should respect that Billie is giving me the life I never had!" Aliza threw the glass cup onto the ground and stomped upstairs.
"Get out of my house." Alexander growled and Billie stood up, her facial expression staying blank.
"You're going to be the reason she kills her self. It's not like she hasn't attempted to before." Billie spat, walking out of the house.
Aliza came down with her bag packed and she followed Billie out the door.
"You can't come along." Billie said while getting into the car.
"Could you drop me off at the train station then?" Aliza held back her tears as much as she could, only for them to come rushing out unexpectedly.
"Just stay here. It'll cool down when I leave." Billie started the car and Aliza started to cry harder as she walked away. And out came Alexander.
"If she doesn't leave now I'm putting a bullet in her head." His angry voice growled deeply just before he walked in the house.
    But Billie beeped her horn.
"Cmon. Hurry before I change my mind." She said loudly.
Aliza jumped into the car and looked at Billie with her red eyes.
"Stop crying now. You got your way."
Billie began speeding down the street, hitting a sharp left and merging onto the highway.
About two hours into the drive Aliza had fallen asleep.
Billie's heart ached while she gazed at the girl who was asleep with her head on the center console.
Billie reached over and reclined the seat, allowing Aliza to lie comfortably for the rest of the drive.
Billie's free hand grazed across Aliza's hand and then she paused, allowing her hand to grab onto Aliza's warm hand.
This was going to be a long drive.
A 41 hour drive to be exact.
They were heading to Los Angeles to live a little without Alexander breathing down their neck.
Aliza had finally awoken, but her bladder was full.
By the way Billie's jaw was no longer clenched and her breathing wasn't so heavy she knew this would be the best time to ask her to stop.
"Billie?" Aliza whispered in a sleepy tone.
"Hm? You gotta pee don't you?" Billie cleared her throat and spoke calmly.
   "Mhm." She sweetly hummed back.
"Next exit I take we can stop for a bathroom break and maybe a hotel for the night. I'm beat and there's still 27 hours left on the road." Billie said while keeping her eyes on the road.
Aliza only nodded and whispered a quiet "okay" before reaching into the glovebox to grab the book from the day before.
Soon the car had come to a full stop and Aliza didn't even realize they had taken the exit.
"Cmon. Bring your bag in." Billie said calmly while getting out of the car and grabbing the single outfit that she had brought along.
They walked into the hotel and Billie walked up to the desk.
"One room two beds." She said while glancing at Aliza who was trying her best to stay awake.
"We only have a room with one bed available." She woman explained.
"Is that cool with you Minnie?" Billie asked the sleepy girl.
"Yeah that's okay." She sweetly responded.
Once they got into the room Aliza raced to the bathroom while Billie got stuck bringing her bag in.
Luckily there was two bathrooms because Billie needed a shower.
She got into the shower while Aliza shuffled through her bag to find a pair of comfy pajamas.
She chose a long shirt with some shorts and then she got into the shower.
And then when it was time for bed Billie cut the lights but Aliza lied awake.
"Are you scared of the dark?" Billie asked while turning the light on.
"No. But could you hold my hand just in case?" Her cheeks turned a shade of pink which made Billie laugh a little.
"Just scoot closer okay? I'll be right here." Billie pulled the girl closer, allowing her head to rest on her chest before she turned the lights back off.
And that's exactly what started Billie's love for physical touch.
She always hated hugging and cuddling.
But only for Aliza did she make an effort to accept her love language.
In the morning they checked out and stopped for breakfast.
They both stayed in their sleep attire so they went somewhere that had a drive through.
And then they parked and enjoyed breakfast together even though it nauseated them both to eat so early.
"We have 17 hours left to drive. When we get there, it's only going to be us I promise. My house there is guarded 24/7 and it's in a secluded neighborhood so we can be completely alone." Billie said as they started their 17 hour journey in the highway.
Wow. She has a house in Los Angeles too? That's so amazing.
During that 17 hour drive they listened to music and occasionally Aliza would read out loud to Billie when she asked how the book was going.
Aliza would've never thought her and Billie would be skipping states together.
That's so weird to think about.
But when they got to California Aliza's eyes lit up.
It was absolutely beautiful. You know, except for the excruciating heat index.
When they arrived to Billie's house Aliza followed her inside shyly.
Her jaw dropped.
It was even nicer than Billie's house in New York.
Aliza grabbed the envelopes from her purse and handed them to Billie to put away in a safe place.
"Did you count it?" Billie asked with a smile.
"I did. And I wanted to thank you but it slipped my mind so... thank you Billie." Aliza gave a bigger smile and looked around even more.
"We're gonna be here for a few weeks if that's okay with you." Billie spoke while walking up the stairs which made Aliza follow her.
"I'm so okay with that. This house is... so dream-like." Aliza spoke with a high pitched voice while Billie showed her the room they'll be sharing.
"The other half of the house is under construction, so we're gonna have to share a bed again, if that's not okay I'll definitely sleep on the couch." Billie set Aliza's bag down on the bed and watched as she looked around with wide eyes.
"I don't mind... did you have this house specially built just for you?" She asked while running her hand down the wall of the large bedroom.
"I did. They started last year and they'll be finished at the end of the month." Billie said with a wide smile.
The next day around dinner time someone knocked on the main entrance door and Billie jumped up.
"How did they get through the gate?" Billie growled, storming out of the room.
She opened the door and there stood her brother she hadn't seen in a year.
"Finneas? Claudia?" Billie said, her voice high a pitchy.
She welcomed them inside since she didn't really do hugs and she remembered Aliza was still upstairs.
"Give me a minute." Billie cleared her throat and ran upstairs.
"Minnie? My brother and his fiance is here, they're gonna stay for dinner, could you change please?" Billie asked while stepping into the room.
Aliza silently agreed and looked through her bag that she had packed.
She chose a pair of leggings since they were the most presentable and comfortable pair of pants that weren't sweats.
She also tossed on a large shirt and followed Billie down stairs.
"This is Aliza. She's gonna be here with me for a while." Billie stated.
"Minnie this is Finneas and Claudia." Billie ushered Aliza to greet them, which she did quietly.
During dinner, which was pasta with the side of chicken; Finneas thought it would be the perfect time to pull wine out of the gift bag.
"Billie? Aliza?" He said in a convincing tone.
"I think I'll stick to my water for now, thank you though." Aliza put on a gentle smile and Billie took a subtle breath.
   "I'll take some."
And after dinner everyone was chatting, well. Everyone except Aliza.
She was tired and felt as if she didn't fit in to this particular conversation.
"I'm gonna hit the shower." Aliza mumbled while standing up.
"It was nice to finally meet you guys. Maybe we should have dinner together again." The brunette smiled with her teeth and made her way upstairs.
She changed into her pajamas after she shower and she still heard everyone downstairs laughing and talking.
But then Billie excused herself and she heard the patter of her feet coming up the stairs.
"Hey you okay?" Billie asked while pushing the door open.
"Yeah. I'm tired." Aliza reached for the book that sat on the nightstand and she opened it.
"You've done read that book three times since we've been here. Don't you think it's time to change it up?" Billie chuckled while grabbing Aliza by her wrist.
She guided Aliza down the hall she had never been since Billie said it was "forbidden".
And down that hall there was a large, wooden door.
Billie shoved the heavy door open and walked inside.
"Spend as much time in here as you'd like. Just don't fall asleep, it gets really hot in here." Billie chuckled while turning the light on.
Turning the light in exposed the most beautiful library Aliza had ever laid eyes on.
It was huge and filled floor to ceiling with a wide variety of books. Hundreds or maybe even thousands of books.
"I gotta get back downstairs Kay? Enjoy." Billie's voice got more breathy and quieter than usual.
That sent shivers down Aliza's spine.
