"Make sure you have fun. Don't worry about me too much okay?" Billie said while hugging the girl.
"You'll come back to me right? You promise you will?" Aliza's voice was muffled as she had her face buried in Billie's neck.
"I promise Minnie. Now go on. Finneas is waiting on you."
"What are you going to do while I'm gone?" Aliza frowned, her eyes beginning to water.
"I'll get some work done. It's only four days my love. I'll be there." Billie cupped Aliza's cheeks and admired her beautiful brown eyes before she gently leaned in and closed the gap in between their lips.
     "I love you Billie."
"I love you Minnie. Now go on baby. Have lots of fun on the plane ride. Make sure you tell Finneas when you need your pill okay?"
Aliza only nodded and hugged Billie again.
"Okay. Now go. I'll see you soon."

That was four days ago.
That night Billie was supposed to come home to New York to be with Aliza.
   But she didn't show up.
Aliza sat on Finneas' front porch, hoping she'd see Billie's black car pull up infront of the house, but she didn't.
"Cmon kid, it's after midnight. You should be inside where it's warm." Finneas said while coming outside.
"Just a few more minutes? She always keeps her promises. She never broke one." Aliza's voice was cracking. She was on the verge of crying.
"I'll come back out in ten more minutes." Finneas responded while checking his watch.
That ten minutes passed as quickly as ten seconds.
     Still.
No Billie.
Aliza took a soft breath and walked into the house, closing the door behind her.
"I made the bed in the guest room for you. There's fresh sheets and extra blankets, it gets a little cold in there at night." Finneas said while walking Aliza up to the guest room where she'll be staying until Billie arrives.
    "Goodnight kiddo."
"Night Finneas."

At some point in the middle of the night Aliza had felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist and a pair of soft lips press against her cheek and to her surprise it was Billie.
She turned around so that she was facing Billie and she just hugged her.
Billie held her tightly while rubbing her back with the tips of her fingers.
"I told you I'd be here. I know I'm late but I'm here." Billie whispered.
"I thought you weren't coming. I was so scared." She sleepily muttered.
"I don't break promises anymore. I'll never lie to you." Billie quietly spoke, allowing Aliza to listen to her heartbeat.
"Were you crying Minnie?"
Aliza nodded slowly and Billie's heart sunk deeper into her chest.
"Awe baby. I'm so sorry."

In the morning Billie woke Aliza by climbing out of bed, not even noticing the girls eyes were open Billie landed a soft kiss on her cheek before she slid out of the rest of the way.
"Morning Bil." Finneas said from downstairs.
"Morning Fin. I think she's still upset."
"Why so? Is she not talking?" He asked, his voice sounding concerned.
"No. She's just not being herself." Billie's voice sounded so calm about everything even when she was panicking deep down.
"Maybe she'll feel better after breakfast."

Aliza slowly walked down the stairs as Billie was grabbing her keys to leave.
"Morning Minnie. Sleep well?" Billie asked while quickly walking up to Aliza.
She placed her hands on Aliza's waist for a brief moment and pressed her lips onto Aliza's.
"Yeah. Where are you going?" Aliza asked, her eyes following Billie to the front door.
"Gotta go pick Claudia up from the airport. Finneas prepared breakfast already." Billie raced out the door, not even saying goodbye to the girl who was standing in the doorway.
"Come, sit." Finneas warmly smiled.

Hours later Billie was back and it was finally time to go home.
After a while of being in the car Aliza finally spoke.
"I'm not upset anymore." She said and Billie turned off the music.
    "How so Minnie?" She asked.
"I don't know. I heard you tell Finneas I was still upset, but I'm not anymore. Well I was cuz I thought you lied." Aliza started stumbling over her words and Billie just grabbed her hand while she focused on the road.
"It's alright Minnie. We're almost home." Billie calmly said while placing both hands on the steering wheel.
A few months later Billie and Aliza had separated.
Aliza was back living with Alexander and she has become an extreme alcoholic.
She even started smoking so much weed to the point where the entire house reeked of it.
"I'm going out." Aliza said while grabbing the keys to her Supra.
She pulled the door open, immediately getting hit with the cold wind that rushed inside.
Then she got in the car and started it up, racing out the driveway and onto the highway.
Aliza lit the blunt that rested above her ear while she was driving and she smoked it, not even saving the rest for later.
And now she's at a car meet.
It was over packed and she didn't even have her racing gear as Billie hadn't spoken to her for months.
"Cmon race me ma. Race me for money." A man spoke while leaning into her passenger window.
"Aliza isn't racing anybody." A cold voice said which caused everyone to fall silent.
The woman climbed in and Aliza turned only to be met with Billie.
"Jesus Christ Aliza. You smell like fuckin weed." Billie groaned while closing the door.
"Get out and leave me alone Billie." Aliza said while turning the car off.
"I'm not getting out until you give me that apology you owe me." Billie crossed her arms and Aliza started the car.
"Guess you're racing with me." Aliza shrugged.
She stepped on the gas, revving her engine to signal the man who wanted to race her.
"Aliza turn the car off. Turn it off!" Billie yelled but Aliza paid no mind to her. She pulled up to the starting line and waited for the countdown.
3...2...1...
Aliza stepped on the gas which sent the car flying down the road and Billie stayed quiet for once in her life.
And she won.
Of course Aliza won.
But the man was furious. He slammed is fists on the hood of his car and walked over to Aliza, throwing the stack of cash into her car.
"Fucking idiot. No wonder you lost. Your car is just as pathetic as you."
