Aliza woke up on the couch. She had forgotten that she was waiting up for Billie to come home.
She walked into the bedroom but the bed was still made.
Billie didn't come home lastnight.
Aliza started worrying. She didn't waste anytime to run to her phone to check Billie's location.
"Shit." She quietly muttered to herself, she ran toward the closet and put pants on.
Aliza stuffed the gun into the holster of her pants and ran out the door to the car.
The drive was a 40 minute ride, but Aliza made it there in 20.
She jumped out of the car and ran up to thr warehouse, her gun drawn to her side as she kicked the big doors open.
"Billie! Billie?" She called out, walking in slowly.
The smell of death and rotten bodies filled her senses and only made the worries worse.
"Oh my god! Billie!" The young brunette shouted, running up to the blue eyed woman who was unconscious and tied to a metal chair.
Aliza cut the ropes and tried slapping Billie awake but she was out cold.
"Shit shit shit." She muttered under her breath as she carried Billie to the car.
Aliza shoved Billie in the back seat and began driving faster and faster.
Finally Billie awoke, sitting up in the backseat, dazed and confused.
"Minnie?" Billie mumbled, making Aliza turn around quickly before returning her eyes to the road.
"Oh god. Billie, are you okay? What the fuck happened?"
Billie didn't respond. The silence was thick, almost as if she was thinking.
Instead of thinking she wrapped her arms around Aliza's stomach while she drove.
"I don't know what happened Minnie." Billie said softly, almost too softly Aliza couldn't hear her over the roaring of the engine.
"We're almost home. Do you want me to pull over so you could get into the passenger seat?"
"Yeah, yeah. Please." Billie said softly.
Aliza pulled over to the side of the road and waited for Billie to get into the passenger seat.
     "Minnie?" Billie called out.
"Yeah Bil?"
Billie pressed her lips together tightly as if she was thinking of what to say.
Still no words came out. Not until the got home.
Billie and Aliza walked through the front door, kicking their shoes off before walking through the house.
Billie sat on the couch and pulled Aliza down with her.
"I was worried sick about you." Aliza said, laying her head on Billie's chest. Billie's hand traveled to Aliza's soft hair, her fingers combing through her soft locks.
"I know Minnie. I have no recollection of lastnight." Billie spoke quietly, her soft voice like music.
"Thank god I found you. God knows what would've happened if I didn't."
