"Wake up." Billie cooed while shaking the girl.
"I'm so tired... one more hour?" Aliza rolled over and pulled the blanket over her head and attempted to go back to sleep but Billie snatched the blanket away.
"No. Come on Minnie. We're going back to New York."
Back to New York? God that was the most awful sentence ever.
"But I don't wanna." She whined.
"We have to, now cmon. You need to have breakfast and change into something comfy for the car ride."
Aliza snatched the blanket off of the bed and shoved her clothes back into the bag.
She sleepily walked to the car and got into the front seat, after reclining it a little and getting comfy she was ready for the car ride.
"You forgot to grab breakfast." Billie said while getting in and handing Aliza a bottle of water and a bowl of assorted berries with yogurt.
"Minnie. We're staying in new York until my house is finished here alright? Til then we just have to stay put and stay out of your brothers way."
Aliza looked at Billie with wide, sad eyes.
"I miss Natasha" Aliza quietly whimpered while shoving a raspberry in her mouth.
"You can see her I promise. I'll never hold you away from her or anyone."
Aliza just gave a slow nod and finished eating her breakfast.
After she finished her food she reclined the seat and fell asleep for 8 hours.
And for the next 12 hours she was switching between reading, watching TikTok and sleeping.
   And of course snacking.
"You haven't spoke in a while other than telling me you have to use the bathroom. Are you alright?" Billie wanted to know so desperately, all she felt was the constant guilt of making Aliza's heart heavy and weary.
"I'm just a little scared. That's all." Aliza stated calmly.
"That's okay Minnie. I'm here to protect you and correct others who imprint on you." The icy blue eyed woman expressed kindly.
Aliza reached for Billie's free hand and held it, feeling incredibly safe she had fallen asleep once again.
If it were up to Aliza, she'd sleep 24 hours a day; 7 days a week.
  She loves sleeping.
When Aliza awoke this time they were at a hotel.
"Cmon sleepy head." Billie said in a gentle tone of voice.
Billie was now holding her hand and guiding her into the building.
They were no more than 15 hours away from home.
Aliza was excited to sleep. There was two beds this time. And two separate rooms. But the beds were tiny. She knew she couldn't sleep alone though thanks to her nightmares.
But she was completely sure Billie would love some alone time for once.
   This hotel sucked.
"Goodnight. I'll come wake you in the morning." Billie said while walking toward the door and shutting the light off.
"Leave it cracked... please." The younger girls brittle voice spoke, cracking in the middle of the sentence.
"I'll do that. Leave the bedside lamp on as well." Billie voice was so soft and feathery with a slight touch of sweetness, but Aliza knew what Billie was capable of when she was upset.
"Goodnight." Aliza yawned while turning the bedside lamp on and getting comfortable.
   She instantly fell right asleep.
But... she woke up. She looked around and checked the time. 3 hours until Billie came to wake her.
She walked out of the separated rooms and stood outside of Billie's door.
She knocked quietly and walked in making Billie stir and open her eyes.
"Cmon. Lay by me." Billie's sleepy, raspy voice delicately whispered.
Billie wrapped her in the blanket and they had both fallen asleep until the alarm went off.
Billie hushed Aliza and turned the alarm off, allowing her to sleep in for once.
Billie gathered all of their belongings and took the to the car and then she just sat there on the edge of the bed, combing her fingers through Aliza's natural curls to gently wake her.
"We're two hours behind schedule Minnie. We gotta go now. Cmon... wake up."
Aliza sat up and rubbed her eyes.
She was still so tired even though she slept almost the entire previous day.
She freshened up and then it was time to finally go back to New York.
Aliza went back to sleep in the car and Billie just drove in silence.
And when they arrived Aliza jumped out of the car to immediately stretch her legs.
She helped Billie bring everything inside and they just sat there, extremely exhausted from doing so much in so little time.
"I'm gonna nap Minnie." Billie said while laying down.
"Okay. I'm gonna draw or something." Aliza quietly but very politely spoke.
After a few hours Aliza was reading now, and Billie still slept soundly in the same room.
Aliza yawned and put the book down slowly before climbing into bed with Billie as cautiously as possible, making sure she doesn't accidentally wake her.
And then she felt arms wrap around her waist and pull her closer.
