Chapter 23

JAMES'S POV

Luna, Luna, Luna. She has been the only thing on my mind for the past two days. Since she had been brutally dragged out of my life. I don't know if she's dead, hurt captured, or anything! He'll she could be in the hands of the Tyrants by now.  

I pace my room back and forth, back and forth. Trying to figure out ways to find out what happened to her. I could go asking around, but I doubt anyone will know..... I could go to Victor but he would probably tell me to go away and not tell me shit!  

I even consider calling Bryan to help, but he probs. doesn't know anything either or else he probably would have told me. He knows I'm desperate from when he came to check on me yesterday. All I did was stare at a wall. I don't even remember what happened when he was here. 

I stop pacing and stare at the door. I can't just sit here. I have to figure out what happened to her, not sit here waiting for a miracle. I have to take the initiative. I turn and walk right through the door. I start walking in random directions, not caring where I'm going.  

I have a rare chance of finding Luna, so I go to the place where I might be able to get some information, Victor. I have no clue where he is though so I go left, right, left, right. Only one thought raging through my mind, Victor. 

"If you are looking for Victor, I can help you", says a voice behind me. I jump right out of my skin. I turn around and see a girl with straight brown hair and light blue eyes.  

"Uh sure", I say confused for a second, but then determined. I start walking next to her as she leads me towards Victor. Now that I have a way of getting there I can only think of Luna. What am I going to find out once I get there? 

"Oh! Your looking for Luna? Well why didn't you think so in the first place?", she asks me. I look at her confused again. "Oh sorry, I can read minds.... I should probably say that right away.... But anyways! I know where Luna is, or where she is going to be I should say! And don't worry she is not hurt", she says answering my exact thoughts. Freaky. 

"Really? Let's go then!" 

"Ummm wait, I don't know where she is now, I know where she will be tomorrow." 

"What do you mean?", I ask. 

"Well, tomorrow she is meeting me and a couple of friends in the cafe. You can come too if you want?" 

"Yes! I mean.... Yes please", I look down embarrassed. "Wait how are you gonna know where to find me?" 

"Wait in your room, I'll come get you, and yes I know where your room is.... Don't worry I am not a stalker", see ya tomorrow.... Buh-bye!", and with that she skipped off. I didn't even realize we walked right back to my room. Weird. 

I walk inside and lay down on my bed. Tomorrow I will see Luna. And with that thought, I fall into the best sleep I have had since we arrived.

Austin, I learned her name as we walked to the cafe, led me to a table full of girls. I sit down and look at all of them. I see them staring at me, but then they look away. I don't explain why I'm here, I let Austin do that. My only desire is to stare at the entrance and wait for her to walk in so I can giver her a hug. Maybe I could tell her today. Tell her I love her..... 

I hear a gasp and turn around. Austin is sitting there smiling at me like a fool. Awh crap, mind reading. 

"Can't help it, bad habits", she smiles and shrugs. I just shake my head, roll my eyes, and go back to watching the entrance.  

Someone walks in and my heart skips a beat. But then I see its just a guy. I hear a chorus of giggles go off behind me. Then hear.... 

"Ohmygoodness he is soooo hot!" 

"Look at those abs!" 

"He is just plain sexy with double X's" 

"His hair flips in the cutest way!" 

"Oh my god guys shut up! He's coming this way!", says Austin, I recognize her voice. 

He walks straight up to the table and all the girls say "hey Spencer" at the same time. He smirks, knowing what they're thinking. Then his face grows more serious. 

"Hey, I'm sorry to deliver this bad news, but Luna isn't coming." 

"What!?", I shout at him. He turns and looks at me, "where is she?" 

"And who are you?", he asks, glaring at me. 

"I'm James, who are you?" 

"Ah, James..... Well she has official business that you do not need to know, I'm afraid." 

"Where, is, she", I say standing up. 

He puts his hands in the air, "hey man, I don't know anything, I just got orders from Victor to take her there immediately", he then turns and walks away. 

I run towards him and grab his arm. He looks like he is about to strike me, but I speak before he has the chance. 

"Why is she there though?", I ask feeling more panicked by the second. 

He looks down at me, for he is just a little bit taller, smirks, then says something that makes my heart stop, "I don't know, Victor just said something about family and repaying an old debt." He smiles bigger then walks away.
