we fell asleep on the couch.

i woke up the next morning with jacks face close to mine.

i smiled at him before sitting up only to realize i had a sun burn.

"ouch" i hissed running my hands over it.

i rolled over jack getting up to go pick up his phone to check the time.

*can't wait for today ;)*
a text from scarlett read on the screen.
i rolled my eyes and over looked the text.

10:45

i sighed and put his phone down.

"get up" i said pushing his shoulder.

"mmmm" he groaned swinging his arm around.

i slapped his back and he arched it and sat up.

"damn" he scoffed as i chuckled.

"yeah you got a big ass sun burn on your back" i said

"and get up its time to go" i said as he rolled his eyes.

"where?" he said standing up and stretching.

"i don't know "i said turning and walking in my house.

by this time my parents had left for work already.

i walked to the coffee table where my phone was charging.

*wanna go some where around 11:30?*
a text from nate read.

its 10:54

shit
*yeah sure* i texted back quickly running upstairs.

i hurried and took my bathing suit off turning the water on.

i hopped in quickly the water still slightly cold but soothing.

"jazzy?" jack called as i looked through the curtain.

"huh?"

"do you think that we could maybe finish what we started at my house?" he smirked.

really right now?

"aw jack, i would be i can't" i replied

"why?"

" nate just texted me and i'm late i have to meet up with him at 11:30" i answered.

"oh" he said as his whole mood changed, his body language.

you could tell.

"why do you look so mad and stuff?" i asked.

"nothing, i just wanted to hang out with my best friend today"

now i feel bad.

"we can when i come back" i replied trying to cheer him up.

"i guess"

he left the bathroom after a few minutes of silence.

i turned the shower off and dried off.

i went in my room and threw on some black pants and a white shirt with some converse.

i put my hair in a nice high ponytail and walked downstairs.

"alright i'll be back ok jack?" i said walking up to him.

"okay" he said as i gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"love you!" i yelled walking out the door with my phone.

*im at the baskin robbins up the street*
a text read that was sent two minutes ago.

it was a short walk.

"hey" i said giving him a hug when i walked over to the table he sat at.

he had two ice creams in his hands.
" this ones yours" he said handing me an ice cream.

"thank you" i said taking it.

"come on" he said nodding his head towards the entrance.

we walked around the neighborhood talking about our childhoods and such until we got to a park.

"so explain jack to me" he said as i sat on a swing.

i don't want to get carried away and explain too much or make it seem like we're dating or have dated. that'll make him question me being jacks best friend.

"well i've knew him since before pre-k. our moms are long time friends" i paused.

"the first day of pre-k we met jj, well jack johnson"
"he moved a few months ago but he was my other best friend. we were like the three musketeers" i laughed.

"you don't have any really close friends?" i asked as he shook his head no.

"i keep my cirlce small, i have trust issues ever since my old girlfriend cheated" he said.

"i'm sorry to hear that" i said as he chuckled.

"its okay, that was the past. i'm looking forward to the future, hopefully one with you" he winked. i blushed heavily and looked away.

i think i wanna be with nate, maybe i'm really suppose to be with him.

after twenty minutes of more talking and really getting to know each other he took me home.

"i really hope we get really close to each other" he smiled down at me, well not really i'm 5'9, and i think he's 6'1 ? anyway he looked down at me

"me too" i said in the same tone as him.

he bent down a little to kiss me when the door opened.

we both pulled away and looked up.

now usually you'd expect to see a parent or older brother or a different family memeber but in this case it was jack.

"mhm" he said clearing his throat.

"i think your dad is calling you jazz" he said as nate looked back at me.

"i'll see you later" he said giving me a hug.

"alright, bye nate" i said as he waved walking away.

"bye nate " jack said waving to nate.

nate rolled his eyes and kept walking.

"what'd you do that for?" i scoffed rolling my eyes.

"oops" he shrugged
"now if you'll excuse me jazz i'm going to take a shower" he said as he walked up stairs.

ugh.
