Loved the response on the last chapter.
The hate Ehan is getting proves that somewhere I succeeded in writing him the way I wanted 💗

We always need a backstory to portray the characters properly. Ehan's POV was never meant to "justify' his behavior towards Mehr. It was just his story.

Now that we have finally reached the present part. Things for him and Mehr would be changed.

He won't be in delusion anymore. Even in such serious chapter you guys have made me laugh by commenting his delulu world😅

The moment I heard those words, my lips stretched into a big smile and eyes widened in shock. I couldn't hide away my happiness from the people around me. I still couldn't believe what I had achieved at this age.

"Ehan! You have been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer. Congratulations young man!" My boss gave me my new appointment paper.

"Thank you Sir!" I replied to him, with my chest swelling in happiness. I was overwhelmed with the news.

"Congratulations Sir! You truly deserved it" One of my junior colleague, congratulated me.

I don't know if I deserved it or not but I had come a long way. There was a time when there was nothing in my pocket and now I was living a decent life. I worked very hard in the past years to be at this place.

It wasn't an easy journey. I had lost much in the way. I had lost parts of myself in the past. The parts that were dear to me, that were part of my personality.

I smiled sadly, looking at the paper.

Years ago, I didn't imagine myself to be at a high post in a company in such a short time. It takes years for people to come to the place which I had achieved today.

I was very happy and anyone could sense it by just looking at me. I thanked everyone for their good wishes and took my leave.

I wanted to go to my home as soon as possible. I wanted to tell Mehr about my achievement. She would be so happy for me. Her eyes would shine and she would praise me.

I know she prays for my success. She prays regularly five times a day and then at the end she makes dua. She stays at the prayer mat for a long time.

Once I asked her out of curiosity.

"What do you ask from Allah" I was lying at the sofa watching her all the time she prayed. I knew I was doing wrong, it wasn't right to stare at someone who is praying.

I myself didn't get up to pray and was doing wrong by staring at her.

"Many things" She replied.

"Such as?"

"It's between me and Allah. I can't tell you about it. I am sorry! She turned her attention to me at my voice and smiled softly.

"You take a lot of time in making dua" I commented.

"Yes. Everyone should do" She nodded.

"Do you also make dua for me?" I asked her.

"Of course Ehan!" She said as if I said something wrong.

"You are an important part of my life. How can I forget to make dua for you. I make dua for you five times a day" She explained politely.

"And what do you exactly ask for me?" I questioned, curiously.
