This story was always meant to be about mental health, perceptions and the role of communication in a relationship.

It's not another Wattpad book based on a toxic relationship.

Ehan had an illness of prolonged depression which is mild in nature but stays with the person for years. He was always in depression, throughout their married life. And he had a few traits of a personality disorder.

He wasn't the bad guy. He didn't commit any sin nor did he ever want to hurt his wife. His past life shows us the kind of guy he was, soft, empathic and compensationate. He never hurt people nor did he havve any intentions to hurt Mehrbano. He just wanted to maintain a safe distance because he was suffering in himself. The thoughts and coping mechanism of a person going through psychiatric illness could never be same as a normal person.

His mental health, Mehrbano's overly submissive nature and their lack of communication played a crucial role in their married life.

They never had non consented sex. Period.

Intercourse on their wedding night was consented by both parties. It was definitely problematic in many ways. It was their first time and it wasn't going to be perfect. The most crucial step they missed was communication and it led to problems.

Sex they had on that rainy evening wasn't non consented either. If you have read carefully, it stated he tried to remove her shirt and she helped him by moving her hands in the air. She wanted it equally. He didn't make her ready and took her raw, he was on mistake for not voicing out that he wanted like that so she wanted to do it or not.

Did she ever give him a slightest clue that she wants to stop him if not saying directly. She didn't tell him anything about her unhappiness about their sex life. She was always ready to sleep with him ignoring what she had in her mind. She never voiced out, not even a single time and he wasn't in the sane mind to understand it without her saying anything.

Guess what's the problem here, COMMUNICATION only.

Ehan never forced himself on her in any way nor did she ever refuse him in any way except on party night and we have read Ehan reaction.

He didn't abuse her sexually nor did he do something which isn't unforgivable. If you still think he did, it's your opinion and way of perceiving things. Just like Ehan perceived things about Mehr and she did about him, which never existed in reality. I respect your opinion. Peace!

When Mehrbano left him, he faced separation anxiety and fell into a severe episode of depression.

And if any one of you are unaware of it, People with severe depression have suicidal thoughts and high tendency to commit suicide. That's what the human brain is!

I can't explain everything about the story. It's already written and it's up to you how you perceive it. The story explains point of view of both character. We get glimpses of their married life through their povs. It's up to you if you hate him for who he was.

In this book both characters had emotional baggage and both were at fault. Mehrbano is no doubt the sweetest soul but it's high time that we women realize the value of communication which is the key to a happy and successful relationship. We shouldn't be over submissive. Period!

As the writer I can say one thing:
Ehan is the most misunderstood character.

Enough of the rant!!!

If you are still interested in the story stay tuned the book isn't ended yet...!!!
