You were sitting in the waiting room. There were only a few more minutes until your match.
You didn't expect for the door to be kicked open and for Katsuki Bakugo himself to walk in.
"Huh?" He asked. "What are you doing in here this is my—" He looked at the waiting room number and realized he was in the wrong room.
"Whatever." He mumbled as he walked into the room anyways. "I have some things to say to you."
Uh oh.
He stood in front of you even though there was another chair at the table you were sitting at.
"Icyhot went easy on you." He started off. "He let you win. And I want you to know that I won't do that. If you want to win your gonna have to knock me out cause I won't give up."
Your eyes went wide. "He— He let me win?"
"Of course." Bakugo said as if it were obvious. "Didn't you see his match against Deku? He could've killed you if he wanted to, but he probably felt bad. I have to admit, I feel a bit bad when I look at your eyes— but not bad enough to let you win."
He could've killed me?
"That's what I wanted to tell you. So don't hold back." He said as he stepped towards the door. "I could see that you were also holding back at the end there. And I want you to know that if you show me any mercy I'll kill you."
You stared at him as he left the room.
Wonderful, I'm probably going to die.
Just then the door opened again and Todoroki walked in with his head down.
He walked over and sat across from you at the table.
You just stared at him.
He took a deep breath and then made eye contact with you. "My dad told me about your mother's proposal."
You tilted your head at him. "What proposal?"
Todoroki looked down again. "The quirk marriage."
Oh! That!— Yikes, he probably hates the idea.
"How do you feel about that?" He asked.
You didn't know what to say. Why'd he have to put you on the spot like this?
"Um, if my mother wants me to" You said slowly. "I guess I don't get a choice."
"You do get a choice." Todoroki said. "It's your life, you can't just do whatever your mother tells you without questioning her decisions."
"What?" You asked.
That was unheard of. Questioning her decisions? Choosing for yourself? No way, that had to be a joke.
You shook your head. "No. I just do whatever she tells me."
"All the time?" He asked. You nodded.
Todoroki groaned.
Now you wanted to ask him. "How do you feel about the... quirk marriage thing?" You asked quietly.
He shook his head. "It makes me sick."
Oh. He hates me.
Not gonna lie, that felt like someone just stabbed you through the heart. You don't know why, but you expected him not to have that reaction. Maybe because he told you he considered you a friend and said that you were the prettiest girl in 1-a.
Probably shouldn't have gotten your hopes up.
Now you looked down. "Okay..." You whispered.
"Um... Shoto?" You asked. "Did you go easy on me during our match— because you felt bad for me?"
"No" He answered after hesitating.
But you noticed it.
"Yes you did." You said still without looking at him. "You didn't hold back against— the green boy — but you held back against me cause you felt bad." (she still don't remember names too good)
