19. Sleepover

Finals were in two days, and your sleepover was tonight. You probably would've forgotten, but you had been looking forward to it all day, so it never left your mind and you weren't able to forget.

The final bell rang and you turned around in your seat to look at Yaoyorozu and Todoroki. They had both brought an extra bag to school that day so they could come straight over.

"Are you guys ready?" You asked.

They both nodded their heads.

"Do we have to wait for Midnight?" Todoroki asked.

You held up a keychain with a single key on it and nothing else. "No, she gave me a key the other day!"

Maybe it would've been better for you to wait for Midnight.

You couldn't remember which house it was. In your defense they all looked similar.

"Um..." You fumbled with the key in your hand as you looked up at the house you stood in front of, this would be about the fifth house that you said was it.

"We can go back to school and wait for Midnight." Yaoyorozu suggested. "It's not too far."

You shook your head. "No... No— I think this is it"

Please be it... Please be it... Please don't let me be embarrassed anymore in front of them...

You walked up to the house and put the key into the front door.

Please open, please open, please open...

You held your breath as you turned the key and pushed the door open.

"Oh!" You said when you realized that this actually was Midnight's house and the house that you had been living in for the past few days. "I mean— Yeah, this is it"

You stepped to the side so that they could walk in before you, once they did you followed and closed the door before taking off your shoes.

"Okay, this is my new house— it's not a new house... It's a new house to me— It's Midnight's house! Yes, that's it." You said as you waved your arms around as if you were showing them everything.

It was weird though because you were standing in one spot.

You put your bag down. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick and then I'll show you the rest of the house"

Yaoyorozu and Todoroki both watched you run down the hallway.

Once they heard the bathroom door close, Yaoyorozu turned to Todoroki.

"Nothing has been in the media yet." She said. "Do you think I should ask?"

Todoroki shook his head. "I don't want to upset her. She seems so happy when she's not thinking about it."

"Aren't you curious?" Yaoyorozu asked. "I know it might upset her... But I really want to know what happened... Maybe we could help somehow."

"I'm very curious." Todoroki answered. "But I'd rather stay curious than upset her."

They heard the bathroom door open and in a few seconds you were back in front of them.

"Okay!" You said excitedly. "I'll show you around now!"

You motioned your arm around. "This here is the living room, and that's where we'll be sleeping tonight so that we have more room. And over here is the kitchen, and that cabinet right there has all the popcorn. Would either of you like a drink?"

"Sure" Yaoyorozu said while Todoroki nodded his head.

You opened the refrigerator and pulled out a box of caprisuns. "Midnight recently got these for me to try, I think they're very good— but if you don't want one we have water bottles too!"

"Those are good" Todoroki answered for both of them.
