14. Midnight

didn't change things

Midnight was the best.
                       
It was only your second night at your internship, and you had tried so many new things. She ordered you food, watched movies with you in her living room, introduced you to popcorn while you watched those movies, and you had actually been training as well. You even caught a few villains with her.
                       
You never wanted to leave. Your eyes had been green for almost an entire day now.
                       
"Y/n" Midnight said just as you were getting ready for bed. (u stay in her guest room, yes we literally at her house)
                       
You turned to her while brushing your hair.
                       
"Do you like anyone in school?" She asked.
                       
You nodded your head. "Everyone's nice, except Mineta, he's weird. And Bakugo can be a little rude."
                       
Midnight chuckled as she shook her head. "No, I mean do you have a crush on anyone?"

"What's that?" You asked while tilting your head.
                       
She grinned. "Like when you think about anyone, does your face feel hot? Can you feel your heart beating? Do you wonder how they feel about you?"
                       
Yes. Yes. And yes.
                       
All those things had happened to you before, specifically while thinking about one boy.
                       
You nodded your head, and just thinking about it you could feel all that stuff happening again.
                       
"Who?!" She quickly asked. "I love teen romances! They're so sweet!"
                       
You put your brush down and sat down on the edge of the bed. "Shoto..." You answered quietly.
                       
"Shoto Todoroki?!" She asked. "Ah! He's perfect!"
                       
What is she so excited about?
                       
She sat down next to you and grabbed your hands. "Tell me what you like about him so much! I know he's considered one of the good-looking boys — so there's that—"

"He's very patient with me" You said. "And he's nice, and helpful, and smart. And he said we're friends— but he doesn't want to marry me."
                       
"He sounds like a real keeper!" Midnight giggled. "But you're a little young for marriage"

Midnight patted the top of your head and then sighed as she stood up and went over to the door.
                       
"I don't like or dislike Endeavor, but he's a bit too serious for my liking." She said. "But!— For your sake, I'll make some plans!"
                       
She went down the hall and you just sat there.
                       
Plans for what?
                       
"Goodnight Y/n!" She called from down the hall. "Get a good night's rest for some training tomorrow!"

"Why'd we drive all the way here for a gym?" You asked. "Were we kicked out of U.A's?" (this a gymnasium, not like an la fitness or something)                       
"Hi L/n"

You turned and saw Todoroki walking into the gym.
                       
Your face went red and you looked over at Midnight who had a proud smile on her face.
                       
You gave him a small wave. "Hi Shoto"
                       
"Midnight" Endeavor said as he walked into the gym. "I'm glad you reached out to me."
                       
"I'm still a bit surprised you answered" Midnight said.
                       
Endeavor stopped in front of you and Midnight, standing next to Todoroki. "I was interested in having L/n at my agency this week, but she didn't accept the offer. So when you reached out I decided to answer."
                       
Midnight smiled at you. "You chose me over Endeavor?!"
                       
You nodded your head. "You were very nice to me at the sports festival"
                       
"Aw, you're too cute!" Midnight gushed. "You two should go put on your hero suits so we can get to work!"
