Hecate brought Hades back to her study so they could talk privately, and also so Hades couldn't kill her since they were now in her territory. As soon as that door was closed, Hades started shouting. "What the fuck are you talking about!?"

"Do you have to yell?"

"You just told me my girlfriend is dying, what the fuck did you expect!?" Hades yelled.

"Okay first off, I said she might be dying."

"Same fucking thing!!!"

"And secondly, lower your fucking voice! For gods sake I think Olympus can hear you!" Hecate snapped at him.

"Okay okay fine!"

"Thank you!" She moved over to her desk and started rummaging through the books in papers. "Now start talking." Hades ordered.

"Your girlfriend is a fae right?"

"Yeah?"

"Well I started doing probably way to much research on Faeries to see if there was any reason that she wouldn't heal, at all when she first here but than magically start healing after waking up and I found a few things."

"Like?"

(Y'all bare with me, I'm making this up as I go)

"Faeries are creatures of magic, pure magic. It's in their blood, DNA, minds, everything; it's what keeps them alive. You take that magic you take their life." Hecate explained. "Along with this, that magic is bounded to the environment they were born or created in."

"...huh?" Hades asked confused.

"Wow you're slow 😑. Faes born or created in say the Moors, are physically and magically connected to the Moors. As long as the Moors in alive and healthy, the Fae who live in it will be alive and healthy. But if something happens, like a deadly fire, the fae won't live. Their connection to the Moors is what will kill them. Ya get it?"

"Yeah.." hades nodded.

"Good. So after I learned that I started doing more digging cause with the Moors destroyed, Maleficent should be dead like the other fae, but she's not. I found that in emergency situations like hers, fae can sever their connection to their environment and connect to a safer one. If the Moors got polluted or burned, fae can connect to the closest living environment to stay alive. Of course, that didn't happen this time cause it wasn't just the fire that killed them, but I think it did particularly with Maleficent."

Hades stared at her confused. "...again, huh?"

"I swear I don't know how you run a kingdom. After the Moors burned she should have died, I couldn't figure out how she didn't die cause there was not a single living thing around her from what you told me. It wasn't till pain and panic came and got me and said Maleficent tried to kill you, and I over heard the conversation that I finally put two and two together. She temporarily bonded to you."

"......"

"Yeah, I know, very vague statement. It rare cases it's been shown that Fae can bonded to a living person if there isn't an environment to connect to. You were the closets living thing to her after she was injured and the Moors was destroyed, so I believe she's connected partially to you. That's why she got better when you were lying with her, and why she got worse when you would leave the room."

"What do you mean partially connected?"

"Fae can't fully connect to a person. People die faster than a forest does and it takes a huge toll on the persons body, so Fae can't fully connect. She is still partially connected to the Moors and to you."
