Genre: Fluff💗 & Angst💔(?)

Luke's POV🍂:
I walk to the music room, as per usual. The time is 12:18pm. The lunchtime rehearsals don't start until half past, but I like to be early. I open the club door, expecting to see everyone's normal happy faces, ready to practice. But no, not this time. Everyone looks... scared? Or nervous? But, why? I scan the room, putting my detective skills to the test. Sean, at the far end of the room, is on his laptop, not daring to look up. Milly, who's sitting on his desk, is staring at her guitar, longing to play it. But, the atmosphere is way too tense for her to even strum one cord. Hailey's glancing at her microphone and her bass guitar, deciding which one to use when she can. Jake's microphone is standing by itself, which it usually is at this time since Jake is always late. My baby (the drums), is sitting in the corner, awaiting my company. And lastly, Zander is leaning on the wall near his piano, his arms crossed. I look at his eyes, they look narrowed, like he's glaring at someone. I reckon it's no one in particular but it sure looks like it. The normal sparkle in his eyes when I enter the room is gone, they look dull, empty, filled with an unknown rage. Huh. I wonder why he's so mad. I clear my throat, earning everyone's attention. They all look at me, eyes sparking with hope and gratitude... well except for Zander of course. He's just looking me up and down, raising an eyebrow. The others are clearly wanting me to clear the tension, so I cautiously walk over to Zander, putting my hand on his shoulder. "Hey, Zan?" He looks away, staring at his piano as a distraction. I sigh and cup his face, bringing it up to look at me. "Come on, don't ignore me..." I say, his eyes finally moving up to me. I can see his furrowed eyebrows relax a bit when he looks into my eyes but it doesn't take him long to look back down again. I turn around to the rest and nod, motioning for them to talk between themselves. Once the commotion begins, Zander seems to look even more pissed off. He opens his mouth to speak, but as soon as he does I quickly kiss him, stopping him from snapping. He freezes, deciding whether to kiss me back, or push me away. In the end, he settled on pushing me off him, making me knock his piano. Luckily, I catch myself before I fully break it. I stand up straight, beginning to edge closer to him again but stopping when he mumble-shouts, "Go away...!" I stand still for a second, brainstorming ideas on how to help him cool off. Eventually, I grab his hand and drag him out of the music room, ending up in the hallway just outside. "Hey-" He starts, ragging his hand out of mine when we stop walking. I cross my arms and look him in the eyes, "Zan, what's wrong? I know you best, you aren't mad for no reason." His expression softens as he meets my eyes, just like he did in the music room, but now letting his guard down. He sighs, "Sorry..." He pauses and takes a deep breath, "I... didn't have a good morning..." I smile at him, grateful that he's calmed down. "Well it is Friday. Want to come to mine after school? You can tell me what happened...?" He gives me a slight smile back, "Yeah... I'd like that..." Suddenly, he walks closer to me, wrapping his arms around my neck. I understand what he's up to and place my arms on his waist. He leans in first, giving me a short and gentle kiss. He smiles brightly at me when we pull back, making my face heat up. I love when he smiles like that, it doesn't happen often, since he only does it around me, but I seem to fall in love with him all over again when he does. I grab his hand, intertwining his with mine and pulling him back into the club room. Everyone looks up at us when we waltz in, wondering what happened. "He's okay now guys!" I say, relieved sighs replying my statement. I happily place my arm around his shoulder and watch as he gets flustered, making me chuckle. "ALRIGHT!" Milly suddenly exclaims, punching the air. She grabs Hailey's microphone and shouts into it, "LETS GET PRACTICING, GANG!" Hailey snatches the microphone back, wincing at the loud interruption. "Yeah, what Milly said." She's about to give us instructions but pauses and looks around the room. "Does anyone know where Jake is...?"

After a long and boring day at school, me and Zander walk to my house, hand in hand. I'm just smiling at him as he prattles on about some random trouble that happened today that made him pissed. I kiss his cheek as we walk, making him stop his rambling within seconds, blushing like mad. I chuckle and look up, realising we've reached our destination. I walk up to the front door, letting go of Zander's warm hand. I reach my hand out to turn the door handle, but I stop, having a genius idea. I turn back to Zander, and walk up to him again, before picking him up and carrying him to the door, bridal style. He stutters out random flustered insults to me, as well as telling me to put him down. I ignore him and put a finger to his lips, reminding him that he has to be quiet. He rolls his eyes and shoves my hand away, allowing me to carry him. I hesitantly open the door, being cautious of my parents as I fast walk to my bedroom, dropping him in the doorway. He walks in and I close the door behind us, making sure not to make a peep. He flops onto the bed, "God, I am SO tired!" He complains, turning onto his side, facing me. I smile, "Was the day that bad?" He sits up, nodding. "Oh you better believe it was! I couldn't catch a break!" I move over to the bed from the door and sit on the edge of it, giving my attention to him. "What happened? You seemed pretty upset this afternoon." He sighs, preparing for a five hour chat. "Well, I woke up at four to Hailey scrolling on TikTok from the other room, her volume on max or something. And obviously I tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn't because of her BLOODY MUSIC." I put my hand on top of his, "Calm down, Zan. It's all in the past, remember?" I smile warmly at him, gesturing for him to continue. He calms himself, before carrying on. "Then, when I got to school, Drew and his goonies (Liam and Henry) came prancing over, bugging me with their weak insults. And of course that made my temper worse since I fought back." "You didn't have to fight back you know? Just ignore them." I reassuringly say, following on with, "They're just a waste of breath." He nods, "I know, but I couldn't help it. I wasn't just going to let them bully me and Hailey like they have all the power in the world. Anyway, classes were annoying because they were all my least favourite subjects and the teachers kept choosing me for answers even though I never put my hand up." "It's their job, honey. They have to make sure you're listening." I chose to say, even though I hate when they do that too. "I WAS listening! Just because I was staring out the window doesn't mean I'm not paying attention! Besides, it isn't my fault their lesson is boring." I chuckle, "I think you staring out the window makes you look like you're not listening." He huffs, "I can multitask. Teachers just don't get that." I roll my eyes playfully, "Right. Anything else other than teachers irritated you before rehearsals?" I ask, expecting a load of other things to have happened. "No, not really. But by the time I got to rehearsals I didn't want to put up with all the cheers and squeals of excitement to practice from the club. So I snapped at them all, hence why they were so tense and quiet when you came in." He brags, sounding proud of himself. I sigh, "Zan, sweetheart, you shouldn't snap at people when they've done nothing wrong. You should've waited for me to arrive, then I'd have calmed you down." His proud smirk fades, and he looks guilty. "I know, sorry... I just couldn't control myself." I smile, trying to lighten the mood. "It's alright, it's done now. How about we forget about today and just focus on now, yeah?" He smiles back at me and nods, shuffling closer to me and resting his head on my shoulder. I lean back on the headrest as he wraps his arms around my torso, enveloping me in a side hug. I put my arm around his shoulder and rest my head on his. After a while, I speak up. "You feel better now?" He nods, humming out a reply. "Mhm." I realise that he's falling asleep and pull the covers over us, moving my arm from around his shoulder. He looks up at this movement and frowns, "Why'd you move your arm?" "Oh! I was just going to ask if you wanted to lay down." I smile down at him, adoring his sleepy face. He swaps his frown into a soft smile and nods again, moving off me so I can lie down first. I slide down the bed, lying my head on the pillow. Soon after, he lies down next to me and resumes his pose from before, I place my arm back around his shoulder and lift it up slightly to play with his hair. He leans into the touch, nuzzling his head into my neck. I chuckle at his clingy, half asleep state and kiss the top of his head. I look up at the ceiling, listening to Zander's gentle breathing pattern and the clock ticking away. I let out a comfortable sigh, I could stay like this forever.

A/N: Honestly, why was the ending kinda cute?? (Luke = Zander's therapist)
