Part 2 of Deceased Loved One!!
Genre: Fluff💗
Dead Luke Au!!

Zander's POV🎹:
Driving back from the cemetery, the silence is suffocating. Mother brought her car that fits six so me and the club could all get in. I look around, in the front, Sean has got his AirPods in, listening to some kind of coping music while my mother is driving. Behind them, Jake is staring into space, obviously lost in his own thoughts and Milly is on her phone, scrolling aimlessly through TikTok to distract her from the previous events. And finally, me and Hailey are in the back. Hailey is staring out the window, fighting back more tears, while I have a slight smirk on my face. Which seems odd considering I just went to my best friend's funeral but how could I be sad after what just happened? But I suppose I do have to at least try to act upset. Wiping the smile off my face, I look out the window, staring out at the miserable evening as my eyes follow the raindrops that slide down the car window.

Once everyone is dropped off at their houses, me and Hailey get out of the car and wait (rather impatiently) as my mother fiddles with her keys at the door. After what seems like an eternity, she opens the door and we all stumble inside. Silence fills the room as me and Hailey take our coats off, hanging them on the coat hangers. Eventually, she looks up at me and says in a croaky voice, "I'll be in my room if you need me." I nod and watch her walk up the creaky stairs, followed by the noise of her bedroom door coming to a close. I sigh and creep up the stairs as well, going into my room and shutting the door behind me. I make my way over to my bed and plonk onto the edge. I sit there, collecting my thoughts and ideas on what to do next. I need to find a way to communicate with Luke again... but I'm not sure how. Well, I've watched enough paranormal movies to know at least ten ways, but all of them only work if the ghost is in the room with you, which Luke obviously isn't right now. I bang my head against my palm a few times, trying to knock out an idea. When I finally give up, I throw myself fully onto the bed, staring at the ceiling while I brainstorm all my knowledge about ghosts.

Lying on my bed, my brain feels fried from all the thinking. It's been an hour and I've only got one or two ideas. I groan impatiently and sit up, walking over to my desk and grabbing my notebook and pen, sitting back down on my bed. I scribble down my ideas and slam the book closed, laying it next to me. As I do, I suddenly feel cold. Huh? I thought the heating was on? I hesitantly stand up and go to my radiator, hovering my palm over it. I can feel the heat radiating off it, making me fling my hand back instantly. I knew it was on, but why did I feel cold just then? I decide to do an experiment and walk over to my bed again. Well, my experiment succeeded, I feel like winter has hit. A ghost maybe? It could be Luke but it could also be a random sprit haunting my house. "Hm..." I hum, thinking of a way I could communicate with the being. "Oh, I know! Uh..." I awkwardly trail off, not expecting my outburst. My cheeks heat up slightly and I clear my throat. "Um... Luke, if it's you, knock on the wall two times." I put my hands on my hips, waiting for a noise. Then, I hear two faint knocks. Knock, knock. I sigh with relief, "Oh thank god! Did you follow me home?" Knock, knock (Yes). I turn my head to my bed when I hear scribbling and choose to examine. I kneel down in front of my bed, reading the notebook. 'I sat in between you and Hale!' "Ohh, so that's why it was so cold! I thought mother had the air conditioning on or something..." I quickly realise that I'm rambling and snap out of it, focusing on the important questions. "Um, can you come with me to school tomorrow?" Underneath the previous message, it read, 'Definitely! I can't go anywhere else other than the cemetery and it's pretty boring there.' I chuckle, "Yeah, I'd find it boring too, just floating above a grave all day every day... have you met your mum yet?" 'No, I think her grave was dug somewhere else.' I get comfortable on the floor as I talk back and forth with Luke, the notebook pages quickly filling up.

The next day, I walk to my locker. Hailey is already in the music room with all the other members, so I was left to wander the corridors by myself. Well, not completely by myself. When I reach my locker, I shove my books into it. When I'm about to close it, I flinch as it slams close by itself. Wait, what? It takes me a second to remind myself of the other person with me, and once I remember I facepalm and laugh slightly, "Luke, don't do things like that!" I mumble, half annoyed but half amused at the same time. I step back when my locker flies open, my notebook flipping open and one of my black pens beginning to write on a clean page. 'Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you...' I smile, some light crimson blush following it at his response. "It's fine. Now come on, the club wanted to meet up for a morning practice... I bet you have something to do with it." I close the notebook and take it and the pen with me so Luke can talk to me and the club when I get in there.
