Part 2 of Possessive!!
Genre: Fluff💗 & Small Angst💔

Zander's POV🎹:
I lie on my bed, feeling empty. Luke and I started a break from each other a couple of days ago. I've been skipping school, no motivation existent to go, which sounds lazy, I know. But if I went to school I wouldn't be able to focus so there's no point. I've cried enough to the point where no more tears come out. Hailey, my mother and Michael have come over to the used-to-be shared apartment with me and Luke multiple times to check on me. I never spoke to them, unable to. My voice is raspy and quiet due to all the crying. My throat is aching and I have a burning headache. All I want is Luke. No one else. I think back to his advice that he gave me, 'My best advice is for you to talk to someone or let your feelings out in some way so you can work on your jealousy.' That sentence has been ringing in my head constantly since he left. I want to work on my jealousy but it's hard to talk to people about stuff like that, knowing my trust issues. Luke is the only person I can talk to about my personal life and feel safe with him knowing it. I take a second to consider my options. None of the club members know my problems so that would be awkward, and don't even get me started on my parents. All they can do is hug me and tell me, 'It's going to be fine.' Or, 'Things will sort themselves out.' When all I need is someone who will just listen to me and not give me pity answers. That's when I remember another person in my family. Hailey! Hailey's good when it comes to listening to people, so she'd be my best choice. I slowly grab my phone off my bedside table, squinting at the bright light radiating off it. I go onto Hailey's contact.

You: Hey, Hailey?
Hailey: Yeah?
You: Can you come over? I just need someone to talk to.
Hailey: Of course! Coming now!!

I smile weakly at her texts, she's way more caring to me than I am to her. I put my phone back where I picked it up and roll over onto my side, facing me and Luke's closet. I get an idea and carefully stand up, being cautious that I don't fall over since my balance is horrible from being in bed for so long. I stumble in the direction of the closet and open Luke's side, looking inside the drawers to find one of his many red scarfs. I tie it around my neck, keeping it snuggled up to my face. I smile slightly, already feeling like he's still here with me. I lie back in bed, staring at the endless ceiling. Suddenly, I hear the front door open, it must be Hailey. She lets herself in, knowing I won't come myself to let her in. She creeps up the stairs and knocks on my door. "Come in..." I say, my voice so broken that you can barely hear it. She opens the door a smidge and peeks in, "Hey..." She smiles as I wave at her, not even bothering to attempt speaking again. She walks in and closes the door, sitting on the edge of the bed. "What's up?" I stay silent for a moment, before speaking in a croaky voice. "Before Luke left, he gave me some advice. He was basically saying that I should talk to someone to help work on my jealousy... so, I chose you to help me." She smiles, "Challenge accepted! It's my sisterly duty to assist!" I chuckle softly, the first laugh I've done in a while.

Throughout the whole thing, Hailey gave me a bunch of pep talks, helped me to get out of bed, caught me up on school work and gave me ways to help my jealousy. It lasted a month and now I'm at school, in the music room. The room really hasn't changed at all in my couple months absence but my piano has been collecting dust in the corner. Luke's drums have been pretty lonely as well according to Hailey, I think he's going through the same thing I went through. The whole club know what happened between me and Luke so Milly suggested that she, Sean and Jake go round to Luke's to help him to get to school and talk to me. I smile at her attempts to help but simply decline her offer. Instead, I'm going round to Luke's myself. Let's hope he forgives me...

Luke's POV🥁:
Getting out of bed isn't even an option at this point. It's like a heap of guilt is swallowing me whole, refusing to let me go. It's been a couple of months since me and Zander started this break apart from each other, and since then my brain has been fighting with itself. Half of it is telling me, 'You should've given him more chances, maybe he was going through something and would change overtime! You can't make him change his personality for you!' But the other half is saying, 'You did the right thing. You guys needed this break so your relationship could be healthy! Zander will forgive you for it!' I sigh and look at myself, I'm still in the same clothes as when I left the apartment... and I stink. My hair is slightly greasy and I desperately need a shower, but if I do have one, I'll have to get changed into these dirty clothes again because I refuse to go back to the apartment. The reason being I don't want to see him again after our fight, it would be awkward. I've been also skipping school, the reason staying the same. Seeing Zander would be really uncomfortable right now. Unless he's changed... then I'd be crying happy tears. Suddenly, I hear a knock on the front door of the hotel room I'm staying in. I clear my throat since I haven't talked in a while, "Uh, come in!" I said it more like a question than a statement but I don't think the person who knocked cares. They let themselves in, and I almost cry when I hear the voice. "Luke?" "Zander? Is that you?" I shout to the person downstairs. What I think is Zander hears my question and runs up the stairs, opening my door quickly. It turns out my assumptions were correct. It is Zander. "Luke!... hi...!" Zander awkwardly says, not knowing what tone of voice to use around me. "Hi..." Is all I can say, blinking a few times to make sure I'm not hallucinating. "Um... can I sit?" He asks, pointing to my bed. I smile nervously and stutter out a reply, "Y-Yeah! Of course!" As he sits down, the awkward tension builds up in the room instantly. It reminds me of the atmosphere when we were crushing on each other right before we began dating. "So..." He starts, looking down. "Hailey helped me work on my jealousy... I'm doing better I guess but I still lose control sometimes..." Many different emotions mix together in my head and I'm not sure how to react. I feel guilty that I might have pressured him into changing for me, but I feel my heart melting at the fact he did all that work for me. "I didn't force you to change... did I?" I ask, just to be sure. He looks up at me, "Oh! No, you didn't! Don't worry! I did it for myself as well." He smiles reassuringly at me and I give him a slight smile back. "Well... thank you for doing that. I'm glad you've helped yourself." I move out of the covers to sit next to him, bumping our shoulders together. His cheeks go a light crimson and he gives me a soft smile. I continue my sentence with, "And I'm sorry for this whole ordeal... I was being a bit dramatic-" He cuts me off by grabbing both my hands in his and turning his whole body to look at me, I do the same. "Luke, you were not being dramatic. I think this break was a very smart and sensible idea. And who knows, if we didn't have this time apart, maybe my jealousy would've gotten worse!" I smile warmly at him, "So you're not mad at me?" He shakes his head, "I never was. Why would I be mad at you for trying to save our relationship? Yes, it was hard for me but it was necessary, and I'm just now realising that." I chuckle, "Yeah... it was hard for me too..." He smiles and hugs me, making my eyes sting with tears. I hug him back tightly, like I'm holding onto him for dear life. As we sit there in each others embrace, I realise how much I've missed this feeling. Warmth and love are the two things that ditched me when I left Zander, and now they're coming back to me. After a while I work up the courage to say, "So... do you want to try again?" He pulls back from the hug, his own eyes appearing to have teared up as well. He lets out a laugh of relief, like he's been waiting for that question since he got here. "Yes! Obviously!" He quickly cups my face and kisses me, making me blush from the suddenness of it. I wrap my arms around his torso and kiss him back with no hesitation, having longed for this moment for months. Once we pull away, we're both smiling like the two idiots we are. He wraps his arms around my neck as he says those simple, three words, "I love you." My blush grows and I reply with, "I love you too, Zan." He releases me from his grip and shuffles away from me on the bed, sitting beside me again. I look confused as to why he moved so quickly. "Why'd you move?" He stands up and puts his hand out for me to take, "I would cuddle with you since that's all I've been wanting to do for months, but first I need to bring you back to our apartment, you can have a shower, get changed and actually eat properly. Because if you went through what I went through, you need help. My mother is waiting for us in the car so we'd better not keep her waiting any longer." I smile gratefully at him and take his hand, pulling myself up. I stumble a bit and lose balance for a second but Zander luckily catches me. He laughs, "Don't worry, I was like this too." He kisses my cheek and gently drags me out of the hotel room, leaving the sadness behind.

A/N: Zander calls his mum 'mother' and his (biological) dad 'father', don't ask. Anyway, love Zander comforting Luke instead of the other way around!! Therapy buddies!!
