"Absolutely not," Logan said firmly to Marissa as she was reaching to grab her wallet in her room. "There is no way you are spending a single penny on anything today. Not happening."
Before she could get to her wallet Logan picked her up and carried her out of her room.
"Logan!" Marissa squealed as she wiggled around in his arms trying to break loose. His hold on her was surprisingly firm, she had to admit. Or maybe she just really liked being in his arms like this and didn't want to break free. She wasn't totally sure which, but when he put her down beside his car the answer didn't seem to matter anymore.
"I'm gonna get you back for that later," she said eyeing him with a wicked grin as he made his way to the other side of the car, "you know that right?"
Logan stopped and turned around to face her, closing the distance between them. "I'll take whatever punishment you want to give me," he said as he looked into her eyes and caressed her cheek, "if it means I get to spoil you like the goddess you are to me."
Logan placed a deep kiss on Marissa's lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him close to her while they both melted into each other's sensual embrace. As he went to pull away she caught his lower lip in her teeth and tugged on it, enjoying the groan of pleasure that escaped him as she did.
"We'll see if you're still singing that tune later on," she said playfully before they each got in the car. He decided it would be smart to start with the mattress store since Fiona was kinda right that she'd ruined Marissa's mattress that morning.
When they went inside Marissa got a little overwhelmed at all the options. "I haven't bought a mattress in probably close to a decade," she said, mostly to herself, "and even then I don't think I actually picked it." Hearing her, Logan slipped his hand into hers, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"Well thankfully," Logan said with a calm playfulness, "the picking process is easy, we just go lay on all of them and you pick whatever is the comfiest. And then, you just have to choose how big you want it."
He and Marissa chuckled at his little double entendre. "Well you know how I feel about size, as big as they come," she joked back at him making him blush ever so slightly.
A salesman approached them and Logan asked to see the largest mattresses they had in stock. Marissa ended up choosing a really nice California king size mattress and Logan also grabbed a waterproof mattress protector for it, giving her a cheeky wink as he did. They set it up to be delivered later that day.
As they got back into the car Logan turned to her. "So where to next?" He asked.
"I guess since I have a new massive mattress I should probably get a new bedframe for it," Marissa said somewhat unsure. This was all kind of new to her. Even when she'd lived with her father she didn't really get to choose what furniture and such she had in her room. Sure she'd been able to decorate it with little trinkets and things, but that was pretty much it. His people had done everything else for her.
Logan noticed Marissa getting lost in her own head and he softly caressed her cheek trying to pull her back to the present. "Hey," he said with a tender softness in his voice, "we can go home and figure the rest out later if this is too much."
"Thank you," Marissa said as she looked into his grey eyes filled with such care and kindness. "I'd like to keep shopping I just," she paused a moment thinking, "I just don't really know what I want in my room. I've never really gotten to choose for myself before."
"Ok," Logan said sweetly, "then let's try something. Fi does this with me anytime I can't decide on something and it always helps. Close your eyes. Now imagine you're coming home after a long tiring day. Your body is exhausted and your brain is fried and you just want some peace and happiness. You open the door to your room, not really looking at anything in particular, what's the first thing you sense?"
