She's Not Going Anywhere

Logan, Eddie, Fiona, Marissa, and Joanie all piled out of Logan's car outside of Joanie's soon-to-be-ex's apartment building. There were 4 large black SUVs and 8 burly guys already there waiting for them.

In the car they'd formulated a plan for how to get all of Joanie's stuff out as quickly as possible while making sure nothing got left behind. They went room by room and Joanie pulled out everything that was hers and put it in a designated spot in each room for the guys to then come take it all down to the SUVs.

Within not even an hour they'd cleared everything of Joanie's out of the apartment. Marissa did one final, thorough, walk through with Joanie, checking every nook and cranny as they went. She didn't want a single thing of Joanie's left behind because she knew Curtis would use it to try to get back at Joanie for leaving.

Once they were sure they'd gotten everything of Joanie's out, Logan, Eddie and Fiona went down to talk their guys through where to unload everything at the house. Meanwhile, Marissa checked in on Joanie before they left.

"Do you want to leave a note or anything?" Marissa asked Joanie as they walked towards the door together.

"I don't know," Joanie said as she thought about it. She wanted it to be clear it was over but she was also still terrified of what Curtis was going to do when he found out and didn't want to exacerbate that at all.

Joanie remembered she was still wearing the necklace Curtis had bought her when she'd agreed to move in with him. She took it off and placed it on the kitchen island where he could easily see it. "That should be enough," Joanie said as she turned and walked back towards Marissa.

Marissa took Joanie's hand in hers and together they walked out of that place without a single look back.

Once they all got back to the club Marissa and Joanie settled into their usual bustling routine for the night, though Marissa was staying a bit closer to Joanie at the bar than she usually did just to make sure she was still ok. Thankfully, Marissa could tell Joanie was doing better now that she was out. She wasn't 100% by any means, but she was at least somewhat back to her usual bubbly, speedy self.

Up in the office, Eddie was watching Marissa and Joanie through the window while Logan and Fiona did some digging on Joanie's now ex, Curtis. The fact that he'd put his hands on someone who was practically family to them had put a massive target on his back. Even though Joanie had said she didn't want them to do anything to him, they wanted revenge, and they were going to get it.

"Well," Logan said as he turned from his computer to Fiona and Eddie came to join them, "I've checked with every club around. Seems Curtis doesn't work security for any of them, despite telling Joanie that was what he did. Phillip's running a deep dive on him so we'll see what that turns up, but it seems not only is he an abusive asshole, he's also a liar."

"I've got a bad feeling about this," Fiona said as she sat on the edge of Logan's desk.

"What's eating at you Fi?" Logan asked.

"It's just," Fiona said trying to figure it out for herself as she spoke, "I'd kinda always gotten weird vibes from him anytime he'd come by to pick up Joanie and stuff. Like he was always paying too much attention to everyone but Joanie here. I thought he was just a douchey guy who couldn't keep it in his pants, but now I'm wondering if it was more than that. Like if it was just the other girls he was paying attention to, or was it all of us."

"So you think he's been spying on us?" Eddie asked.

"It's not out of the question," Logan said as he tried to piece things together in his head. "But then is he police or is he with Alonso or another rival?" Before they could continue their speculations though, screams coming downstairs pulled their attention.
