"COOPER!"
The scream echoed through the kitchen, shaking the very foundations of the building. The pots and pans hanging from the ceiling seemed to rattle in fear, and the other kitchen staff froze in place. Mr. Cartwright's face was beet-red, his eyes bulging with rage as he stared daggers at Coby, who was bent over, picking up the broken chinaware.
"I-I'm so sorry, Mr. Cartwright," Coby stammered, her voice trembling as she carefully dropped the shattered pieces into the dustpan.
"Do you have any idea how expensive that plate was?" Mr. Cartwright's voice was a muddle of anger and disbelief, his mustache twitching with each word.
"I really apologize, it was an accident," Coby repeated, glancing up at him with wide, frightened eyes.
Mr. Cartwright huffed, crossing his arms. "Clean this up, and be more careful next time."
As he was about to storm off, the waiter, Matt, burst into the kitchen. "Mr. Cartwright, two customers just arrived at table seven."
With Matt already attending another table, Mr. Cartwright turned to Coby. "Go attend to them. And get rid of that trash first."
Meanwhile, Tenzin and Stefan were seated at a table, waiting to be attended to. The dining room was fancy and tastefully decorated, with an air of sophistication. Soft conversations filled the room as other customers quietly enjoyed their meals. The tables were adorned with elegant flower arrangements in delicate vases, and the warm lighting cast a cozy glow over everything.
"So, what do you think of this place?" Tenzin asked, leaning back in his chair and looking around.
Stefan took a critical look at the room. "It's... alright. The decor is a bit dated, though. And the flowers on the table look like they came from a grocery store."
Tenzin chuckled. "Always the critic, huh? But the food is supposed to be excellent."
Stefan nodded slightly but then tilted his head. "Did you hear someone yelling a few minutes ago? They should really soundproof their kitchen."
"I heard it too," Tenzin admitted. "But I haven't dined here before. I just heard it's a popular spot."
"It's not bad," Stefan conceded, "but they could put more effort into the interior. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the table settings are pretty basic."
Their conversation continued, delving into various topics, until they were interrupted by a cheerful voice. "Good afternoon, gentlemen! What can I get you?"
Coby stood before them, a notepad in hand. She was momentarily stunned by how extremely handsome the men were, her eyes widening as she took them in. Stefan's features and intense blue eyes were particularly mesmerizing. She nearly drooled, her thoughts racing.
Damn! How is it possible for these men to be this good-looking? she thought.
Stefan snapped his fingers rudely, breaking her reverie. "Miss, we're ready to order."
Coby blinked, snapping out of her daydream. "Yes, of course. What would you like?"
"I'll have the Beef Wellington," Stefan said, his tone dismissive.
Coby's brow furrowed. "I'm sorry, we don't have that on the menu."
Stefan rolled his eyes. "Tell the chef to make it. I don't care if it's on the menu or not."
