♥ Two Handsome Men ♥

Stefan sat quietly in the passenger seat, his eyes fixed on the passing scenery outside the window, but his mind was elsewhere, swirling with unsettling thoughts. The silence in the car was thick, broken only by the hum of the engine and the occasional rustle of Tenzin adjusting his grip on the steering wheel.

Stefan had always prided himself on being in control, on maintaining a calm, detached demeanor, but now, as they sped down the highway toward Willow Creek, he felt anything but composed.

Tenzin glanced over at Stefan, noticing the tension in his friend's posture, the way his jaw was clenched just a little too tight. He knew Stefan well enough to recognize when something was gnawing at him. After a moment of consideration, Tenzin decided to break the silence, hoping to ease the weight pressing down on Stefan's shoulders.

"Hey, man," Tenzin said, his tone light but with a hint of concern. "You're awfully quiet. Everything okay?"

Stefan didn't respond immediately, his gaze still fixed on the blur of trees and houses whizzing by. Tenzin waited, giving him time, before continuing.

"Look, whatever you're thinking, just don't think about it too much," Tenzin said, his voice steady, a subtle encouragement woven into his words. "It's not a bad thing to love someone again. Come, on."

Stefan finally turned to look at Tenzin, his expression unreadable, but the crease in his brow suggested that he was far from convinced. Tenzin saw the hesitation, the doubt, and couldn't resist adding a bit of humor to lighten the mood.

"So," Tenzin began, a sly grin tugging at the corners of his mouth, "when did you realize you were in love with Coby?"

Stefan's eyes widened slightly, and he shook his head, dismissing the notion almost reflexively. "I don't love Coby, Tenzin," he said, the words coming out a bit too quickly, almost as if he were trying to convince himself as much as his friend.

Tenzin chuckled, the sound warm and teasing. "Come on, Stefan, you can drop the act with me. We both know you're as stubborn as a mule, but even you can't deny what's staring you right in the face. So, when are you going to admit it? When are you going to stop pretending you don't care?"

Stefan fell silent again, his lips pressed into a thin line as he turned his gaze back to the window. The landscape outside seemed to blur together, his thoughts tangled in a web of confusion. The truth was, he didn't know what to feel. The idea of being in love with Coby was something he had been trying to push away, to bury deep down, but now, it was surfacing in ways he couldn't ignore.

Tenzin shook his head with a knowing smile, not needing any verbal confirmation from Stefan. "You'll figure it out eventually," he said softly, more to himself than to Stefan, his tone carrying both amusement and certainty.

As they continued down the road, the silence returned, but this time, it was more comfortable, filled with unspoken understanding. Stefan remained lost in his thoughts, grappling with the unfamiliar emotions swirling within him, while Tenzin kept his focus on the road, confident that his friend was on the verge of a revelation, whether he was ready to admit it or not.

Meanwhile, in the cozy dining room of the small house in Willow Creek, laughter and teasing filled the air as Coby, Charlotte, Rosita, and little Piper sat around the table, enjoying a simple but hearty dinner.

The table was laden with plates of roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and freshly baked bread. Rosita had just brought over a steaming dish of her famous homemade lasagna, setting it down in the center of the table with a flourish.
