♥ Three Words♥
Coby and Stefan lay comfortably in bed, the morning sunlight filtering softly through the curtains. Coby, with a playful glint in her eyes, idly traced circles on Stefan's hand with her fingers. Her expression turned more serious as she asked, "When did you start having feelings for me?"
Stefan was quiet for a moment, lost in thought. Then, a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "It was when I was sick," he began, his voice soft with the memory. "You left me that note, remember?"
Coby turned to face him, her head resting on her hand as she looked up at him. Her eyes were wide with curiosity and affection. Stefan gently brushed his thumb along her cheek, feeling the warmth of her skin under his touch.
"You're beautiful," he whispered, his gaze full of admiration.
Coby's smile widened, her cheeks flushing with a pink hue. "What do you love about me?" she asked, her tone light but with an underlying seriousness.
Stefan's smile grew as he looked deep into her eyes, gathering his thoughts. "I love how you bicker with me over the smallest things," he started, his voice filled with affection. "I love how you argue with me, even when you know you're wrong. I love your toughness, how you never let anyone's opinion define you. And... the funniest part? Your clumsiness. You're always bumping into things or dropping stuff. It's adorable." His eyes held a longing as he looked at her, the affection in his gaze unmistakable.
Unable to resist the moment, Stefan leaned down and pressed his lips to hers in a tender kiss. Coby melted into the kiss, but as it ended, she suddenly remembered the time.
"You're going to be late for work," she murmured, half-serious, half-teasing.
Stefan grinned, brushing a stray lock of hair from her face. "I'm the boss, remember? I can go to work whenever I want." His voice was full of confidence, yet there was a playful edge to it.
Coby chuckled and began teasing him about his ego, prompting Stefan to retaliate by peppering her face with light pecks.
"Stop!" Coby giggled, trying to fend him off, but her laughter only encouraged him. In a playful push, she accidentally sent Stefan tumbling off the bed with a surprising thud.
Coby gasped, her hand flying to her mouth and her eyes widened in shock. "Stefan?" she called out, peeking over the edge of the bed to see him lying still on the floor. "Are you okay?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern.
Suddenly, Stefan sprang to life, lunging at her with a mischievous grin. He pulled her back onto the bed, his fingers tickling her sides relentlessly. Coby squealed with laughter, thrashing around as she tried to escape his tickling onslaught.
"Stefan, stop! I can't breathe!" she gasped between fits of laughter.
Finally, Stefan relented, his hands coming to rest as he hovered above her, his gaze softening as he looked down at her. Coby, still catching her breath, gazed up at him with a look of pure adoration.
"I love you," she whispered, the words slipping out effortlessly.
Stefan's smile was slow and genuine as he leaned down and placed a gentle peck on her lips. With that, he climbed off the bed, still wearing his casual nightwear— a simple grey t-shirt and a pair of plaid pyjama pants—and headed toward the bathroom.
Coby sat up, her heart fluttering in her chest. She couldn't stop the grin that spread across her face, nor the blush that colored her cheeks as she replayed the moment in her mind. Just as she was lost in her thoughts, Stefan's phone began to vibrate on the nightstand, its buzzing breaking the peaceful silence of the room.
