Chapter 29

                  Hold onto someone who holds onto you

Ali drops me home as he said he will. Then i meet my mom in the lobby. I look exactly like her, black hairs though now they are blue. Eyes cheeks body everything so similar to her. But in our nature we aren't same. She's a family women. On the other side i was more career oriented. So our thoughts differed mostly.
I ask my mom of my dad. He's in his study so i walk there.
I knock at the door.
"Come in" i enter the room, and his aura seeps into me. Remi caspher is a man of honour and pride. So is his personality and his area around him. He sits on his leather chair reading a book but when he sees his only daughter his face lights up. I walk to him and then bend to give him a kiss on cheeks. "Hi daddy" i say as i sit infront of him.
"Hey, how are you?" I reply back and then we talk bout life and business and the attempt of murder on me.
"Are you sure you are safe" he asks.
"I dont know dad" i reply. His forehead shows lines which tenses.
"You need to be careful darling" he says and i nod.
"How's things with Ali" he ask.
"Good i guess" i say.
"See. Adeline, sometimes people are gone too far, they are beyond your reach. And even though you try as hard as you could to bring them back they wouldn't come. And on the other side, there are people who hold onto you, who's there to hold you when you fall back. So you too hold onto them as well. Don't let it go darling. And whats gone let it be gone". He finishes and i know what he means by people who are gone that is Alex and who's holding onto me that is ali.
But i still ask him to confirm "who are you talking about daddy" he smiles.
"You know darling" my eyes widen as realization hit me that he knows about My meeting with Alex. That traitor ali.
"Ali told you about it right?" I ask him.
"Nah. That boy is loyal to you. But remember darling my eyes are always on you. Just because you are married that doesn't mean i have abandoned you. I keep up with you"
I laugh and then I confess.
"Well yeah i met him. But i think you are right. I can't hold onto the past anymore yeah?" I say.
"Yes you should not. Also don't let Ali slip from your hands Adeline. I found a perfect match for you. He's a man. And he fears no one. Also he loves you as much as i love you" he says and i get confused, like what did ali tell him he loves me?
"How do you know he loves me" i ask him and my dad laughs.
"Girl, you are the only person who doesn't know that Ali is madly in love with you. The only reason he married to you was because he loves you child." He says . My cheeks redden. And my thoughts wont stop.
All the questions arises and i might as well as ali about it tonight.
" i never saw it coming" i say to my dad.
"I know already. But when that guy took care of you for so many years when you were in coma. I knew this was more than friendship and i knew i could trust my daughter with him" he says and i nod. Then i get up bid him goodbye and leave.
But before i could leave.
"Listen Addie, trust no one but Ali. And only him. And be very careful about your surroundings darling" he says and he walks towards me. He hugs and i hug him back. And then i pull apart as he kiss me on my forehead.
"I love you Darling" he says and i smile.
"I love you too dad"
And then i call ali to come up pick me up.
