"Just breathe," he murmured, his voice laced with concern as he guided you into the passenger seat. "We'll get you to the hospital safely," he attempted to assure you, his gaze flickering between the car's interior and you as he fastened your seatbelt.

With every passing second, you grew weaker as the excruciating contractions intensified. Each wave of pain seemed to last forever, leaving you writhing in agony as you clung onto the seat for dear life.

Cillian's eyes were wide with fear as he tried to navigate the winding roads leading to the hospital and your breathing soon became labored.

"Cillian! I can't!" you screamed, your body convulsing violently as the powerful waves of contractions ripped through your belly. "I can't," you repeated, your voice strained with desperation as the contractions came in much shorter intervals now.

"Just breathe Y/N," Cillian coaxed gently, his voice laced with concern, "we're almost there," he said but you could feel the baby descending even further.

"You need to pull over," you cried, your voice strained with desperation, "the baby is coming NOW!" you yelled, struggling to maintain control of your body and, despite his misgivings, Cillian pulled over onto the shoulder of the road.

You scrambled out of the car as soon as it came to a halt, leaning against the side of the vehicle as another contraction wracked your body. The pain was unbearable, threatening to overwhelm you as you writhed in agony.

"Fuck, Y/N. You can't have the baby here," Cillian cried, his voice strained with panic as he scrambled to unlock the doors. "You need to go back in the car," he said, his gaze flickering between your body and the ground below as he opened the door to the back seats, wanting you to lie down until you got to the hospital.

"No, Cillian," you protested weakly, your voice trembling slightly. "The baby is coming now," you insisted, your grip tightening on the edge of the car door. "I can feel it," you added, panting heavily as the relentless contractions tore through your body.

"Please, Y/N," Cillian pleaded with you, his voice strained with desperation. "Let's try to get you back in the car," he suggested, his gaze flickering between your body and the ground below. "We can still make it to the hospital," he tried to assure you but you shook your head.

"Call an ambulance," you begged him, gripping the edge of the car door tighter as another contraction ripped through your body.

"I will, Y/N," Cillian promised, grabbing his cellphone from the center console with shaking hands and dialing 112. "But they're not going to make it in time," he whispered, his voice quivering with uncertainty just as another painful contraction seized you.

"Shit, hang on Y/N," Cillian murmured, his eyes widening as he realized your predicament as more water gushed from between your legs.

"Oh God," you whimpered, your voice strained with pain and desperation as hot tears streamed down your face while Cillian spoke to the emergency department, giving them your location while, at the same time, gathering a couple of blankets from the back of the car.

"Here, Y/N," he murmured, placing the folded material on the grassy verge beside you just as another contraction ripped through your body.

"NO NO NO!" you screamed, thrashing wildly as the force of it pushed your entire body forward, arching it like a bow as your hands instinctively flew to your core as Cillian put the emergency line operator on speaker.

"Sir, you need to get your partner to remove whatever she is wearing that could prevent delivery and ask her to squat down. The baby could come any minute now by what you are describing," the dispatcher instructed Cillian, her voice clear and calm, despite the chaos surrounding her.
