Rani POV
Just as I stick on my last lash, I hear my doorbell going off downstairs. I smile knowing who it is and rush down stairs.
Right now it's 1:00 in the afternoon. I was in pajamas for the longest, it's a pain getting ready with one arm, so I did procrastinate.
I open the door to reveal Emma and surprisingly just her. I assume Bell is in the car.
I smile at her giving her a look over. She looks good. Dressed in a tight long sleeved shirt that shows quite a bit of cleavage and some tight jeans that hug her thick thighs.
She may be off limits but there's no harm in admiring. When I look up I can tell she feels the same way, her eyes trailing over me. I think it's the first time she's seen me in something besides gym clothes.
I'm wearing a white turtle neck tucked into some black jeans. Nothing crazy but it is form fitting, the sling kinda ruins it though in my opinion.
"Hey you look... nice." She compliments when her eyes meet mine. She's definitely being a little awkward and it's likely because of what I said Monday. I just wanted her to feel good about herself because she should.
I grin. "Thank you, so do you Chinita."
Her smile grows ever so slightly and she breaks eye contact. It's so easy to may her fold, it's obvious she likes me more than in a friend way or at the very least is attracted to me. "Are you ready? Bellamy and Melanie are waiting in the car." She finally says.
"Melanie's going?" I question unaware of that, not that I care. I'm glad Bell is going to have her friend. Melanie and Bell honestly remind me of little Ari and me.
"Yep, Bellamy begged me. So I talked to Melanie's parents."
"Oh, cool. Just give me a minute to put on some shoes and I'll be out."
"Ok, we'll be waiting." With that she turns around and goes back to her car. I close the door and quickly go to my room to put some forces. It's honestly a struggle with one arm but I manage. Then I grab my phone and wallet and leave after locking my door.
I make my way to Emma's suv and get in once I've reached the passenger door.
"Hey Rani." Bellamy is the first to greet me.
"Hey love." I turn back to look at her finding her curly headed little friend sat beside her. "Hey Mel, how have you been?"
"I'm good." She smiles.
"Ok, buckle up so we can go it isn't gonna be a short trip." Emma bosses me.
"Yes ma'am." I reply playfully.
The drive was long but the kids made sure to keep us entertained, making us sing along to whatever song they chose to put on.
We park and get out, making our way to the carnival. "What ride do you two wanna ride first?" I ask.
"T-The Ferris wheel." Bellamy says beside me.
Ari loved that ride when e we're younger because it wasn't scary.
"Fine but just one time, that ride sucks." Mel says.
"Oh, w-we don't have to ride it Mel. We can ride w-what you want." Bellamy offers sweetly. Such a people pleaser like her Mamá.
"No, it's ok." Melanie assures her and grabs Bellamy's hand to hold as they walk.
I chuckle quietly and whisper to Emma. "I expect an invite to their wedding in the future."
She giggles along. "Same."
We make our way to the ticket booth and get the wristbands for all of us. After arguing with Emma I pay for everyone except Mel because her parents sent money for her.
