As I'm grabbing my keys my phone begins ringing in my back pocket. So I stop and grab it instead.
When I see who it is I answer with a smile. "Hey, Auntie."
I call her Auntie but really she's more of a mother. In a such a smaller frame of time she's done more for me than my father ever has. She never had any kids so me and Bellamy really mean a lot to her, especially with us being the only part of my mom left.
"Hey dear, I haven't heard from you in a while. Are you and my baby doing ok?" Her voice motherly like always.
I chuckle lightly. "We're great, I'm just still getting settled into this new job I guess. Bellamy too, she doesn't like my schedule. It's giving us less days together throughout the week sometimes."
She hums. "I bet she doesn't, she loves her mom but I'm proud of you love. For making something of yourself and you did that all on your own, no help."
I scoff. "No help? Auntie without you I wouldn't be here right now."
It's true. I'd probably be in the streets because she was the one that watched Bellamy while I attended an LPN program. She gave me a place to live and raise Bellamy while I saved up the money to move back to New York.
Another hum. "I guess I was a little help. So, when are you and the baby gonna take a trip to see me?"
"I'd have to get that arranged with work, probably take some vacation days so I don't get called in but soon." I explain.
"Bellamy still at school?" She questions.
"No, she's at cheer practice. It's almost time for me to get her." I was just about to leave before Aunt Pam called.
She sighs. "When you pick her up tell her to call me."
"I will, love you." I smile.
"I love you too, bye."
"Bye." I hang up and then find my keys and purse before leaving. I'm already dressed up for the gym, leggings and a crop tops with a track jacket over my arms since it is cold.
I told Rani I'd bring Bellamy. Other wise I would have went and worked out this morning while Bellamy was at school,
I can't decide if me and Rani are friends or not yet. We talked and laughed together for a few hours yesterday at the smoothie bar. It was enjoyable. If we're not friends we're at least friendly but I could definitely see us being friends. I like Rani when she isn't being an asshole, I can see why her and Ari are friends.

"Did you have a good day?" I ask Bellamy when we're in the car, she seems extra happy today.
"Y-yeah. " She grins.
I smile as I turn on the car, her happiness is just contagious."Do you have any homework?"
She sighs. "Yep and w-we have a teacher p-parent c-conference Monday."
I giggle. "I know, baby and I expect to hear good things about you."
"Y-You will." She assures with no doubt. "A-Are we going to t-the gym? I-I wanna see R-Rani." This is honestly starting to become a routine.
"Yep." I buckle up, Bellamy already having done so herself.
"Yay." She kicks her feet.
I smile at her happiness and just so happen to remember Auntie Pam's request. "I talked to Auntie Pam earlier today. She wanted you to call her when you could talk to her."
"O-o-k, I'll c-call her" Her feet continue to move as she looks down at her phone. Even after cheer practice and school the girl still has a ton of energy.
