Chapter 34

I knock on the door, stepping back as I wait. Ramona stands beside me with her arms crossed, and Will shifts on his feet, glancing around the porch.

The door swings open, and before I can even say anything, Bellamy is throwing herself at me.

"Mommy!" Bellamy squeals, wrapping her arms around me so tightly I almost lose my balance outside Ari and Sadia's house.

I laugh, hugging her back. "Hey, baby."

She pulls away, her face lit up, then immediately looks to Will. "H-Hey Will!"

He smiles. "Hey, I'm glad you're coming back it's kinda boring without you."

I scoff and look at Ramona. "Rude, we're fun, right?"

She feigns offense as well, nodding her head. "A blast." She looks down at Will. "I guess you'll just have to play Mario cart by yourself when Bellamy isn't there, since I'm no fun anyway." She teases.

Will chuckles. "I'm just kidding, kinda..." He trails off.

Bellamy chuckles before whispering loudly. "I-I know I'm more fun." She goes to Ramona next and hugs her next. "I-I'm so happy w-we're moving I-in with you."

Ramona smiles as Bellamy steps out of her arms. "Me too, bebé."

"Are you all gonna stand outside, or are you coming in?" Ari calls from inside the house.

I roll my eyes, stepping in with everyone else. The house smells amazing, something warm and cheesy filling the air.

Sadia is in the kitchen, flipping what looks like a quesadilla in a pan, while Ari is on the couch, baby Noah nestled in her arms. Seda is on the floor, her Barbies sprawled around her, and Ruben is sitting on the couch, his eyes glued to his tablet.

The second we step inside, Ruben hops off the couch and makes a beeline for Will, staring up at him with narrowed eyes. "You're Will?" he asks, like he's trying to solve a puzzle.

Will nods. "Yeah."

"Cool I'm Ruben." Ruben grins. "You look taller than I thought."

Will shrugs. "I get that a lot."

I snort to myself, he's so full of himself I swear. He's definitely my brother.

Seda suddenly gasps dramatically and scurries over, tugging on Will's sleeve. "Hi I'm Seda. Are you gonna be Bellamy's brother?" She asks.

Will looks at me like he has no idea how to answer. I chuckle. "Basically."

Seda frowns with a pout. "Does that mean he's my brother too? I'm tired of getting brothers."

All the adults laugh at that while Ruben squints at her clearly offended. "Hey! Brothers are cool."

"No they aren't." Seda retorts.

Before they can start arguing Sadia interjects all the way from the kitchen. "That's enough, brothers and sisters come in a pack no arguing about it."

Seda and Ruben both roll their eyes at each other and Ruben goes back to the couch beside his Mamá his attention back on his tablet.

"Do you wanna play Barbie's with me?" Seda asks Will now, her eyes wide.

Before Will can answer, Ari speaks up from the couch, looking amused. "Seda, baby, let Will breathe before you recruit him for Barbie duty."

"Fine." Seda's huffs and goes back to her Barbies by herself.

"You all should honestly stay for lunch, it's almost done." Sadia says from the kitchen.
