Chris and I arrived in Nashville. He had called Megan, and she said Chris would have to leave the tour in a few days just to get to LA and finalize some contracts. He would be able to join me back in Boston at the end of the tour.
"So, are you coming with me to the recording studio to meet this guy, or no?" I asked Chris as I was getting ready to leave the hotel room for the day.
"No, I have some friends in Nashville that know I'm in town and want to meet up. I can just see you before the show tonight." Chris said.
"Oh okay, well then I'm going to meet this guy from the record label and see if doing the duet will work..." I trailed off. I grabbed my cellphone and put it in my pocket.
"Okay, sounds good. Have a good time." Chris said coming over to me and giving me a passionate kiss. I looked at him as we broke apart.
"You okay? You're acting strange." I said and he sighed shaking his head.
"I just haven't seen these guys since high school so it's a little awkward for me. They don't know actor Chris."
"Well, here's a crazy thought. Don't be actor Chris, be normal Chris." I smirked and Chris just chuckled.
"Good idea." Chris said and I laughed as he leaned in giving me another small kiss. "Get out of here, you're going to be late." Chris said and I smiled.
"Have fun." I said as I walked out of the hotel room. Once I got in the car, I looked at Hollie.
"So, who am I meeting again?" I asked and she looked up his information.
"His name is Charles Kelley. He has been with the label for a few years. He wrote a song that he wants as a duet, and he specifically asked for you. He loves your sound and thinks you would be great for it." Hollie explained and I half nodded.
"Do we have demo or anything or am I hearing it at the recording studio?" I asked.
"Hearing it there." Hollie said and I groaned only because I knew if it was horrible, or I didn't like it I really couldn't leave.
We drove in silence until we reached the recording studio.
"If you don't like the demo, give me a hint like scratch your eyebrow or something and I will get you out." Hollie smirked at me.
"I'm holding you to that." I said and she laughed as we got out of the car and headed inside.
As we walked into the booth, I smiled at everyone.
"Ms. Devon, it's so great to meet you."
"Please call me Frankie and your Charles, right?" I asked and he nodded.
"I am. This is such an honor. I can't wait for you to hear the song." Charles said and I smiled.
"Well should we get right down to it?" I asked and Charles nodded as we got set up to listen to the demo.

I was sitting backstage at the concert, and I was still practicing the new duet with Charles. We had recorded it, and it sounded amazing, but management thought it would be good PR if we performed the song at the concert tonight and we were both for it.
As we were rehearsing, making sure we had it exactly how we would want it, there was a knock on the door. Hollie was out getting me a water, so I got up and answered the door, not opening it far. I saw Chris standing there. I smiled at him walking out of the barely open door.
"Problem?" Chris asked and I shook my head.
"I have someone in there. The guy from the duet. We are giving a surprise performance of it tonight, so we are rehearsing." I said and Chris just slowly nodded.
"Well can I come in?" Chris asked and I sighed.
"I would but we really need to buckle down and get this just right. Can I just see you after?" I asked and Chris sighed but just nodded.
"I love you." Chris said and I smiled.
"I love you." I said and Chris leaned in giving me a passionate kiss. It was a little forceful which caught me off guard, but I accepted it.
When we broke apart, I walked back into the dressing room as closed the door.

"So, Nashville, I have a question for you. Have any if you heard of a friend of mine named Charles Kelley?" I asked halfway through the concert, and everyone went insane. "Oh good, well Charles and I met up today and we have a surprise for all of you. Charles, want to join me on stage?" I questioned as he walked out. The crowd went crazy, and he waved at everyone then hugged me when he got on stage and kissed my cheek.
"Frankie, I don't know if they really want to hear what we have been working on..." Charles said, and the audience was so loud I could hear it even though I had in my earpieces.
"Oh, I think they do." I said.
"Then who am I to deny the fans what they want." Charles chuckled and we laughed as the band started playing the music and it was time to do this.
