I was sitting on my couch waiting for Chris to arrive. I didn't want to do this or have him come over but honestly if he felt like he needed to get something off his chest, he could come and do that and then we could be done for good.

I walked into the kitchen and got a bottle of water for both of us and then started pacing in the living room looking at the clock. He said he would be in in 20 minutes and here it was 35 minutes later. I pulled out my cellphone and was about to call him when the gate buzzer sounded. I walked to the door where the closest buzzer was.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Hey, it's me. Let me in." Chris snipped and I huffed.

"Rude." I said but buzzed him in. He parked the car, and I opened the front door and was waiting for him to walk up. "You could have been a little nicer." I said as he approached.

"Sorry I think I was followed, and I just wanted to get in since we "don't know each other" and all." Chris said and I just rolled my eyes.

"Can you not be an ass. If you don't know how to be nice then you can leave." I snapped at him, and he sighed. He hung his head as we walked into the living room.

"Sorry, I can't explain why I'm on edge."

"I can." I stated, he looked at me as we sat on the couch. "Chris, we haven't seen each other this much in years and we never talked through this even though I don't really know what else can be said. Everything was said yesterday." I said.

"On your end Frankie! I never got closure!" Chris raised his voice.

"Closure?! You think yesterday was about closure?! This was about me telling you how I have been feeling for years! How I have been doing since you fucked up my life at 18. How I got through it all! The songs, the lyrics and all of it. I wanted to just tell you I was done with it." I snapped back.

"Including me!"

"There never was a "you" in my life! The last time you were in my life you fucked me and left me!"

I noticed both our voices were rising and there was no hope of calming down. This was why I met him in public the day before.

"It wasn't just a fuck to me Frankie, I need you to know that." Chris said lowering his voice an I just shook my head looking at my hands in my lap.

"Well, what was it then? I mean you didn't want to be with me or even act like we could be together." I explained.

"I was scared Frankie. We were embarking on a new journey for both of us."

"And we could have leaned on each other. I missed my friend Chris." I said and he sighed.

"I missed you too." Chris admitted.

"You know if you had even come to me a few days later even a month later I would have forgiven you, but you didn't come back."

"I didn't think I could. I thought I ruined it all." Chris said and I nodded.

"Well, it would have been hard, but it was us Chris, we could have worked through it."

"And we can't now?" Chris asked hopefully but I shook my head.

"It's been too long. I don't even know where to pick up with you..." I trailed off and then I thought about something. "Actually, I have something for you..." I got up from the couch and rushed to my bedroom, I grabbed the box from the closet and then came back out to the living room.

"What's that?" Chris said and I sat it on the coffee table.

"Open it." I said and he sighed. He opened it and saw the pictures of us from our childhood up until the trip to LA. He pulled out a picture, my favorite that it hurt me to look at.

"Right before it all went to hell." Chris said. We took it at the rodeo, and we were both making a silly face, but we looked happy.

"Yeah, that one has been haunting me lately. If you find any pictures in there you want, take them." I offered.

"I don't want to take your pictures Frankie." Chris said.

"I can't look at a lot of them Chris. Whenever I did a hate song about you happened and I promised you I was done." I said. I looked at my water on the table and groaned. I got up and walked over to my bar cart in my living room.

"Want a drink?" I asked Chris and he just looked at me with raised eyebrows.

"Whatever you're having." Chris said and I poured two glasses of tequila. I walked back over to Chris who handed me a picture with a chuckle.

"Remember this Halloween." Chris said and I saw a young Chris and me. We were dressed as Ariel and Eric from The Little Mermaid.

"Well, it was the only option for costumes. We watched it all the time." I said with a chuckle and Chris nodded. We were looking through the pictures, some I even forgot were in there since I only focused on the adult pictures.

2 hours later and a whole bottle of tequila gone Chris and I were sitting on the floor, with the pictures all spread out laughing and trying to put them in order.

"No! That was thanksgiving! Notice outside, its fall! When does it look like fall at Christmas Chris!" I slurred. Chris smacked his own forehead with a laugh.

"OH YEAH!" Chris said and he rearranged everything to place it where it went.

I then pulled one from the pile and laughed.

"What?" Chris asked. I showed him the picture.

It was Chris and I at maybe like 5 or 6 and we were kissing. Chris laughed.

"We are adorable and made an adorable couple!" Chris said and I nodded.

"We thought we were going to live in my playhouse in the backyard. We thought we could make it on our own but then you left me because I wouldn't let you make mudpies in my house." We hysterically laughed.

"In my defense, I thought I was being a supportive husband." Chris said and I laughed and shook my head.

"No just making your pretend wife's life a living hell." I said and he laughed.

We were very drunk, we were finding almost everything funny.

Chris was looking at the picture. "All I remember from the actual picture is kissing you. I mean yes, we were 6 and yes, we were kids, but I remember thinking I wanted to keeping kissing you as an adult." Chris spoke. I snapped my head to look at him.

"Chris..."

He shook his head. "Sorry, that was very honest..."

"And something you never said before." I whispered and Chris nodded hearing me.

"I know, I was scared to admit it. I thought it would ruin everything. Then when I finally do kiss you and have sex with you, I did ruin everything." Chris said and I looked down at my lap again.

"Can you just tell me the real reason why?"

Chris was silent. I knew why he said he did it and I always accepted it but I needed to know if there was a real reason.

"I was scared Frankie..."

"Of what?"

"Of not making it and being a failure to you. I never wanted to be a failure in your eyes. If I got out here and couldn't make it, I wouldn't have been able to face you." Chris admitted.

"Chris, I knew you before this whole acting, coming to LA thing, I would have always been in your corner." I answered him.

I scooted closer to him, and I put my head on his shoulder.

"I just couldn't do that to you Frankie. I was scared and knew dropping you was easier than dragging you down with me." Chris said. I lifted my head and looked at Chris.

"If you didn't make it Chris, you would have still just been Chris to me. The Chris I grew up with and the Chris I loved." I said.

Silene fell between us as Chris looked at my face and into my eyes. Chris and I both leaned in, and our lips pressed together. Our kissing was slow and passionate. Chris wrapped his arms around me, and we laid down on the floor as Chris hovered over me and kept kissing me.
