"Aww! You're such a cutie!" You slapped your hand over your mouth. "Oops. Sorry. I couldn't help it! You're just so adorable! I really love your braid!"
You watched as the young girl in front of you slowly turned red. "Thank you." She brushed her bangs out of her eyes, "You're really pretty."
"AWW!" You grinned at the girl, "Sorry again. I really need to stop doing that." You stuck your hand out, "My name's (Y/n) - although I'm sure you've already been told that."
Her shoulder relaxed and she grinned, "Yeah!" She gestured towards the two silent boys who stood at each side of you, "And these must be . . ."
You pointed towards your right, "This is Suguru Geto." You pointed to your left, "This is Satoru Gojo."
A look of confusion crossed Riko's face.
"Are you alright?" You scrunched your brows, "You seem a bit confused."
The dark haired girl waved a hand in front of her face, "I'm sorry! I guess I didn't read the file properly. I only actually read anything about you."
The two boys shared a look. That was weird. This wasn't your mission. It was theirs. So if your name showed up in the file . . . and their's didn't . . . what the hell did that mean?
"Well don't sweat it," you beamed at the girl, "I'm sure it's just a little mix up."
Both Satoru and Suguru could hear it in your voice. The uncertainty.
Satoru's eyes narrowed, but he kept his tone light. "Seems like it. Anyway, Riko, why don't you show us around? We're here to make sure you're comfortable and everything is going smoothly."
Riko nodded, visibly relaxing a bit. "Sure, I'd be happy to. Let me just grab a few things and we can get started."
As she scurried off to gather her things, Suguru leaned closer to Satoru. "Did you catch that? She only read about (Y/n)."
Satoru nodded, his usual easy-going demeanor replaced with a thoughtful frown. "Yeah. It's weird. Especially since Yaga was clear that this was a joint mission - for just us."
You caught the tail end of their conversation and gave them a questioning look. "Is something up?"
Suguru shook his head, trying to sound reassuring. "No, it's probably nothing. Let's just focus on making Riko feel at ease."
Riko returned with a small backpack and a shy smile. "Alright, let's go."
The three of you followed her down the sleek, modern corridors of the headquarters. It was clear this place was designed for both functionality and comfort, with soft lighting and minimalist decor. Riko led you to a lounge area with a large window that looked out over a beautiful garden.
"This is where I spend most of my time," Riko said, her voice becoming more animated. "It's nice and quiet, and the garden is really peaceful."
You smiled, taking in the serene view. "It's beautiful. I can see why you like it here. I would love to just read a book here or something. You're a smart girl."
Riko's face brightened at the compliment. "I'm glad you think so! It's my favorite spot. I can see the garden from my room too, which is nice."
Satoru stretched out on one of the plush couches, pretending to relax. "Well, it looks like a perfect place to unwind. I'm sure you've spent a lot of time here."
Riko nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, especially when I need a break from everything. It helps me clear my mind."
Suguru, who had been quietly observing, took a more practical approach. "So, Riko, is there anything specific you need or want us to do while we're here? We want to make sure we're as helpful as possible."
