"Alright," Satoru kicked his feet up on the futon in front of him, "Suguru and I have to talk to some officials down here. Do you and (Y/n) wanna do something together today?"
Riko glanced at you quickly. "I wouldn't mind. As long as you aren't busy!"
You shook your head. "I'm literally never busy! What do you wanna do? Actually wait-" you threw your hands up to stop the girl from answering, "I'll plan something for us!"
Riko's eyes lit up at the idea. "Really? That sounds amazing! I'm excited!"
You grinned, already mentally planning the day. "Great! How about we start with a visit to the nearby park? I hear it's got a beautiful lake and some lovely walking trails. We could take a leisurely stroll and maybe have a picnic."
Suguru snorted, "Leisurely stroll? Why are you talking like an old lady?"
You stuck your tongue out at Suguru. "It's called being thoughtful, thank you very much. Plus, picnics are fun! We could pack some snacks and enjoy the fresh air."
Riko clapped her hands together. "A picnic sounds perfect! I love being outside, and the park is really nice this time of year. I haven't had a chance to go there in a while."
Satoru smiled at you. "Great! You two go do that. Suguru and I should be on our way."
As Satoru and Suguru prepared to leave, you gave them a wave. "Have a good meeting! We'll be out enjoying the day."
They waved back at you before exiting the room.
Riko turned to you with an eager smile. "So, what should we pack for our picnic? Any special requests?"
You pondered for a moment. "How about a mix of sweet and salty? Maybe some sandwiches, fruits, cheese, and a few of those little pastries you like?"
She grinned, "Oh my gosh! You remembered that!"
"Of course." You patted the top of her head, "You told me yesterday during dinner. I don't forget things."
Riko's cheeks flushed with a mix of surprise and delight. "You're the best! I'm so glad you remembered. Let's get started on packing everything."
You both headed to the kitchen, and while Riko gathered ingredients for the sandwiches and sliced up fresh fruits, you took care of arranging the cheeses and pastries. The kitchen was filled with the sounds of chopping and laughter.
"It's good no one's here." Riko snorted, "They'd probably think we're insane!"
"Why? Because I told you I accidently pushed Satoru off a roof?"
"Yes!" She cut a sandwich into triangles, "Exactly because of that! Like who casually pushes their boyfriend off a roof?"
"That's why I have two Riko. That's why I have two."
" . . . You're actually a genius."
"Exactly! People should literally study my brain."
Riko burst into laughter, clearly amused by your antics. "You're too much, you know that? But I have to admit, your brain is definitely a fascinating place."
With everything packed and ready, you and Riko set out for the park. The weather was perfect—a clear sky, a light breeze, and just the right amount of warmth.
Riko leaned her head against your shoulder. "Thanks for doing this. It's really nice of you."
You waved it off with a smile. "It's my pleasure. I'm looking forward to spending some time with you outside."
